What a beautiful story! I remember that a few years ago, we had one initiative to write a post about our favorite teacher, and your post reminded me of my favorite (math) teacher...
It's amazing how close we could get to our teachers and I remember that I considered some of them more than friends, even like a family! I am not sure if that is nowadays still happening, but I like it... Some of them were like parents to me and I learned a lot from them... Just like you from your Ms. Matute!
