Namaste!
Curry leaves, also known as sweet neem, is a versatile culinary herb of Indian cuisine. Many of our traditional and modern dishes here seem imperfect without the magic of curry leaves. These leaves are traditionally used in many types of dishes not only for better taste but also for an abundance of health benefits, about which you will find many articles just by typing its name on Google.
The purpose of this blog is not to repeat the already existing information but to introduce you to the 8 curry leave plants of my home garden. 💚
A few days ago, in the weekly vegetable market, I saw people buying curry leaves and I was surprised that why you cannot grow such an easy-growing herb yourself. This plant does not even require much care except daily watering. Still.
I even thought of gifting one of my plants to them but my wife said don't be so emotional and understand the fact that these are not the people who like to grow plants. Even if you give them your plant, they will not water it even once a day, and in a way, she was right because there are people in my own family who usually say that they like plants but do not like to take care of them.
And because I love my plants, I can't let anyone kill them.
But seriously, do you know that these 8 plants of mine, some of which I have already gifted to people, all started from 2 plants initially, which my father-in-law gave me. After that, I slowly grew many more plants from its seeds.
And now new leaves have started growing on all these plants after the rains, and as it probably happens with every plant, the plants grow healthiest during the monsoon compared to the rest of the year.
So for us, it can be a very difficult time with so much rain, flooding, water logging, etc. but this earth also belongs to plants and they are enjoying this season to the fullest. 💚😊
That's all for today's blog.
I hope you liked my plants and Phone Photography! :)
