I think I got the last ticket, number 30, and there was nothing for it but to go to this event.
Here's a summary of the two days, a bit longer story, but I think you'll find it interesting π
1st May, Labour Day, and I set off for Graz at around 7 am this morning.
I started at the roundabout at home, thinking about how symbolic the beehive is (from Ilirska Bistrica was one of the most famous Slovenian beekeepers, Anton Ε½niderΕ‘iΔ; he invented a special beehive named after him). That is why the beehive is one of the symbols of the city.
According to Google Maps, it takes just over three hours without stopping. But because I stopped a couple of times, it took about an hour longer.
I had a doll for company and flowers for the late @beeber.

Spacelend is a coworking space for startups right in the centre of Graz. It's the perfect place for a conference, party, or buzz like this!

Apis Hive
Apis Hive is a very nice gamification and curation project led by @livinkuktaiwan.
It's aimed at beginners, those who want to grow in Hive actively in the long term. Through the game, step by step, stair by stair, they get rewards and learn about the ecosystem.
Another outstanding presentation by @minigunner.
He gave us an overview of Distriator, an app that gives you cashback when you make purchases with BTC Lighting or HBD (Hive Backed Dollar), by documenting your purchases on Hive Blockchain.
I was even more impressed when he demonstrated how to make your own Hive Debit NFC Card, load it with HBD, and send it to another Hive user in a second.
No fees! Pure DIY!
This may be the start of a parallel economy with global implications.
Clean Planet
Finally, @tibfox presented the Clean Planet initiative, encouraging people to clean up litter in their local area.
The project has been running since 2018, with over 3800 members who have published over 37,700 posts.
This is Global Hive Community, anyone can join!
After the presentations, we visited Schloss Eggenberg, a party, and dinner!
We still had about an hour before dinner, and since I had to be back on Saturday morning, we had a Beer Picnic with Green Gold Brewing beers in the park in front of the castle.
