Buen día a todos. Este fin de semana casero, pasé un buen rato conversando con mi hijo y poniéndonos al día de cómo estaba la situación aquí, y cómo le iba a él y a toda la familia por donde están.

Good morning everyone. This home weekend, I spent some quality time chatting with my son and catching up on how things were going here, and how he and the whole family were doing for where they are.

Cuando conversamos siento una energía espiritual a la máxima potencia, él siempre es el bálsamo que alivia mis bajones de ánimo. Conversamos de muchas cosas, el colegio de los niños, la llegada de mi nieto Liam a su primer año escolar, los avances de Amy en su estudios, los eventos escolares donde mi chiquita ha participado, y por supuesto, cómo le iba a él en su trabajo.

When we talk I feel a spiritual energy at full strength, he is always the balm that soothes my low spirits. We talk about many things, the kids' school, my grandson Liam's arrival at his first year of school, Amy's progress in her studies, the school events my little girl has participated in, and of course, how he was doing in his job.

Recientemente compartí que mi chico trabajaba en dos sitios, de lunes a viernes en una empresa de servicios y los domingos en un restaurante. Este último trabajo fue el primero que tuvo al llegar a ese país, e hizo una amistad muy bonita con los dueños. Cuando aceptó el nuevo empleo, acordaron que él seguiría con ellos un día del fin de semana, y así ha sido hasta ahora.

I recently shared that my boy worked two jobs, Monday through Friday at a service company and Sundays at a restaurant. The latter job was the first job he had when he arrived in that country, and he made a very nice friendship with the owners. When he accepted the new job, they agreed that he would stay with them one day during the weekend, and that has been the case so far.

Ha aprendido tanto de la gastronomía de ese país, que me habla de los platillos y combinaciones con una facilidad impresionante. Ama la gastronomía de sus raíces venezolanas, creció con una arepa y un buen sancocho en su tierra, y en casa las fusiona con las del país hermano, ya que tiene una nena venezolana, y un nene peruano. Allí se come de todo, jajaja.

He has learned so much about the gastronomy of that country, that he talks to me about the dishes and combinations with an impressive ease. He loves the gastronomy of his Venezuelan roots, he grew up with an arepa and a good sancocho in his homeland, and at home he fuses them with those of his brother country, since he has a Venezuelan girl and a Peruvian boy. They eat everything there, hahaha.

Este fin de semana me mostró la diversidad de platillos, entre fotos y descripciones textuales. Para mí, que soy amante de la cocina, me encantó conocer la gastronomía de otro lugar. De verdad que los platillos lucen deliciosos, y me encantaría probarlos en alguna oportunidad que tenga de ir a visitarlos en su nuevo hogar.

This weekend showed me the diversity of dishes, between photos and textual descriptions. For me, a food lover, I was delighted to learn about the gastronomy of another place. The dishes look really delicious, and I would love to try them sometime I have the opportunity to visit them in their new home.

Entre nostalgia y alegrías, conversamos muchas horas, él con deseos de venir pronto, en la medida de lo posible, y yo con deseos de verlo, abrazarlo y comérmelo a besos como hace 7 años no he podido volver a hacer. Cada día lo bendigo cientos de veces al día, desde que decidió emigrar, y sigo con la esperanza de verlo regresar pronto a su tierra.

Between nostalgia and joy, we talked for many hours, he wishing to come soon, as far as possible, and I wishing to see him, hug him and eat him with kisses as I have not been able to do for 7 years. Every day I bless him hundreds of times a day, since he decided to emigrate, and I continue with the hope of seeing him return soon to his homeland.
