Continuous Process Improvements

in Synergy Builders8 days ago

The "results" of our lives as humans are basically derived from a series of processes. Sometimes we call these habits, but to analyze only on the level of single actions is missing a certain dimensionality - our actions/habits chain into processes by which we "get things done". This is how we "work", and we talk about things like workflow and "the way I like to do things".

Well, its probably not a surprise to any of you, that smart people began to analyze these processes, the "how we do what we do", and propose improvements. This is not a just a better way to do something, but a "process improvement", doing better things in a better way, better order, better flow.

When you do that, iterating over time, it because a process in itself - a continuous process of improving your process. Thus, as I understand it at least - Continuous process improvements.

@fjworld is a user on HIVE!

And it turns out, such user has REAL LIFE experience in continuous process improvements, in corporate and industrial sectors. We have become friendly, and I have slowly started to grok what he is getting up to on HIVE, he has big plans but he likes to

Learn before you Earn

Phrases like this, he's got interesting snippets that let you know he has been around the block once or twice - learned a few lessons, doesn't "ape" or jump into new things but slowly, surely, asks questions and continues to compile data.

Well, I like that.

My process

Today @fjworld helped me identify a "hole" in my process, and it wasn't exactly an exploit, but it was a potential "security breach". It raised my hackles, because this is something we have learned before, through pain and failure, and so I am motivated to both reward @fjworld and explain exactly how we are going to work moving forward, based on his feedback.

I ask for feedback, I am customer service

This is my job. I collect and collate the feedbacks, I take it to the right departments - address it with the "right people". Whether something isn't working as it should, or you want a new feature, or you think I am an "insane clown posse", that should be directed to me.

@thecrazygm, on the other hand, is hard at work. He makes posts, you should check out his blog. He is happy to tutor you in "learn to code", ask him questions on chain, and look at him cook!

If you go around me and try to give feedback directly to @thecrazygm on discord - I have instructed him to ignore you! This is his job - TO IGNORE YOU. And I appreciate that he would do it well. He will reply on chain, as he will, and then I can reward such interactions. Several newish users are already getting coding advice from him. Warms my heart.

Bounty unlocked!

We had a serious security flaw, and I want to reward the finding of it, NOW, before the users flock, because that could have been really bad, for us, for you dear HIVEr. It is a process of continual improvement of our processes.

Not only did @fjworld discover this security flaw, he worked with me this morning about how to talk about it, how to prevent it, and how to say it in a way that makes sense. Its not every ordinary user that would do such a thing, and I appreciate him deeply for it.

As a symbol of my gratitude, I am sending him 1000 TOOFUCKEH tokens, tokens which represent a solution to a problem, as I understand it. We hope to give more use to this token here on HIVE, and both claim bounties and give more bounties out, where appropriate, in the TOOFUCKEH token.

You can see the bounty tx here.

This is all for me today - I had to go into town because... there was no food left! We had a productive visit, with friends, family, followers and of course - food! I had fun but I won't be doing that again, for a while at least.

I did manage to grab this selfie for you all though.

Wow, the maturity in mindset and approach is amazing. This is very inspiring and glad to see that the continuous improvement mindset, based on positive intent, is !ALIVE.

Thank you for sharing and being open.

knightmarey, you mined 0.9 🟧 HBIT and the user you replied to (ecoinstant) received 0.1 HBIT on your behalf as a tip. When you mine HBIT, you're also playing the Wusang: Isle of Blaq game. 🏴‍☠️

Sorry, but you didn't find a bonus treasure token today. Try again tomorrow...they're out there! Your random number was 0.6836969454641735, also viewable in the Discord server, #hbit-wusang-log channel. | tools | wallet | discord | community | daily <><

Check for bonus treasure tokens by entering your username at a block explorer A, explorer B, or take a look at your wallet.
There is a treasure chest of bitcoin sats hidden in Wusang: Isle of Blaq. Happy treasure hunting! 😃 Read about Hivebits (HBIT) or read the story of Wusang: Isle of Blaq.

This is exactly what I am doing constantly with every task, noticing areas of inefficiency and poor flow, and adjusting, tweaking, refining, and improving my habitual processes, to make everything done more efficient, effective, elegant, and even artistic. One of the many reasons that I love and appreciate Hive is that there are so many truly wonderful, warm, caring, kind, funny, brilliant, and generous people, who offer their time to assist others with something that they didn't see or understand yet, as I try to do myself. Oh, and I understand not liking to go into town much. Ditto that here. I rarely leave the property. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

We have a saying, kind of relevant here:

"Una vez al año, no hace daño"

Once a year won't hurt. 😅

Hahaha...yep, that's about right! ¡De vez en cuando, para variar! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Beautiful white castle!

That process actually begins by a thought which of course has a trigger. The t thoughts births actions and actions done regularly births our habits and habits our character and character destiny. It’s all a process

It really is that "simple"!

I LOVE you!!!
and everyone needs to go into town once and a while if only to remind yourself why you do not want to go into town more often :D

Telll Ledis I LOVE her very much!!! and miss her.

See you both soon!!!
LOVE your face!

I'm glad to see the way people fix problems together. The TOOFUCKEH reward is cool, good way to say thanks for help and I like the name, that's Mr Eco for ya

This is @fjworld's own token for improving processes!

Nice! I was asked last week why I thought open source was the way to go, and here is a perfect example. I hope this community continues to grow so we have more people sharing info and learning together.

Have you found a "place to start"? I have some ideas.... 😅

I have been looking at using python in google sheets to list wallet balances along with liquidity pools. The end goal would be auto add to liquidity pools similar to the auto stake keychain has. I have no idea if it will work, but I would love to hear what you are thinking.

This is clever! Altho, i dont personally like to automate certain things, many years ago we worked very hard to auto-mate some money losing activities.

I think you might start simpler, see : beeswap.dcity.io and uswap.app

Both give bonuses to hive > swap.hive and swap.hive > hive under certain conditions (start with beeswap, their "rules" are more clear on the website)

You might look into auto grabbing that bonus juice if the conditions are met.

Beeswap, Tribaldex, peakd, keychain all have great features, but they all lack the ability to modify layout easily, and track "values" through trade and liquidity pools. I still don't know what I am doing lol. The thought behind google sheets is it dose math well and seems fairly easy to get data into.

Math is fun. Pools are "harder", the beeswap hive> swap.hive convert is not a pool, its just two balances on one account. Hive, and Swap.Hive.

I have another friend working on some tools that will make working with pools easier, by indexing historical hive-engine data.

Do what you want! Always! If its not fun, its not learning.

I just make recommendations.

Oh, I have been keeping my L1 and L2 separate for the most part. I am trying to play around with L2 lps to maybe help other projects with liquidity.
All my HP and HBD have just been staked or put in the savings account to slowly grow into something useful.

Is uswap.app using the same lp that is on the other platforms, or are they a seperate L2?

Share more please about the other friend working on tracking lp data.
