The "results" of our lives as humans are basically derived from a series of processes. Sometimes we call these habits, but to analyze only on the level of single actions is missing a certain dimensionality - our actions/habits chain into processes by which we "get things done". This is how we "work", and we talk about things like workflow and "the way I like to do things".
Well, its probably not a surprise to any of you, that smart people began to analyze these processes, the "how we do what we do", and propose improvements. This is not a just a better way to do something, but a "process improvement", doing better things in a better way, better order, better flow.
When you do that, iterating over time, it because a process in itself - a continuous process of improving your process. Thus, as I understand it at least - Continuous process improvements.
@fjworld is a user on HIVE!
And it turns out, such user has REAL LIFE experience in continuous process improvements, in corporate and industrial sectors. We have become friendly, and I have slowly started to grok what he is getting up to on HIVE, he has big plans but he likes to
Learn before you Earn
Phrases like this, he's got interesting snippets that let you know he has been around the block once or twice - learned a few lessons, doesn't "ape" or jump into new things but slowly, surely, asks questions and continues to compile data.
Well, I like that.
My process
Today @fjworld helped me identify a "hole" in my process, and it wasn't exactly an exploit, but it was a potential "security breach". It raised my hackles, because this is something we have learned before, through pain and failure, and so I am motivated to both reward @fjworld and explain exactly how we are going to work moving forward, based on his feedback.
I ask for feedback, I am customer service
This is my job. I collect and collate the feedbacks, I take it to the right departments - address it with the "right people". Whether something isn't working as it should, or you want a new feature, or you think I am an "insane clown posse", that should be directed to me.
@thecrazygm, on the other hand, is hard at work. He makes posts, you should check out his blog. He is happy to tutor you in "learn to code", ask him questions on chain, and look at him cook!
If you go around me and try to give feedback directly to @thecrazygm on discord - I have instructed him to ignore you! This is his job - TO IGNORE YOU. And I appreciate that he would do it well. He will reply on chain, as he will, and then I can reward such interactions. Several newish users are already getting coding advice from him. Warms my heart.
Bounty unlocked!
We had a serious security flaw, and I want to reward the finding of it, NOW, before the users flock, because that could have been really bad, for us, for you dear HIVEr. It is a process of continual improvement of our processes.
Not only did @fjworld discover this security flaw, he worked with me this morning about how to talk about it, how to prevent it, and how to say it in a way that makes sense. Its not every ordinary user that would do such a thing, and I appreciate him deeply for it.
As a symbol of my gratitude, I am sending him 1000 TOOFUCKEH tokens, tokens which represent a solution to a problem, as I understand it. We hope to give more use to this token here on HIVE, and both claim bounties and give more bounties out, where appropriate, in the TOOFUCKEH token.
You can see the bounty tx here.
This is all for me today - I had to go into town because... there was no food left! We had a productive visit, with friends, family, followers and of course - food! I had fun but I won't be doing that again, for a while at least.
I did manage to grab this selfie for you all though.
