March 15th, 2025There were some delegation upticks and new delegations this week, but honestly life is so chaotic right now that I haven't even had a chance to look into it more. I have simply tallied up the numbers and published this weekly raffle way behind schedule. My wife and children were suddenly given less than half of the promised 6 months, without warning, to prepare for departure to the USA.
6 months would've already been hard enough to sell our motorbikes and tuk-tuk and basically anything else the jungle or rats would claim while we're gone. I was just about to buy plane tickets in hopes that we'd be able to arrive in the USA by June 11th, the expiration date of their visas. This would've been just enough time to get the cats ready for travel and completely abandon our possessions to be deal with the climate and a house without a ceiling.
Well, all of a sudden Cambodia is on Trump's travel ban list that he's trying to push through, and supposedly Cambodia will have 60 days to work out issues before being either instantly banned or continuing on as before. There is no word on whether or not it would affect existing visa holders, so basically everything is up in the air. I am so pissed off right now at my country and it's making my ASEAN Hive duties difficult. How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 193,608, and total delegated HP is 178,251 HP (137,076 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
