Un regalo, un presente, una dádiva, algo que no vimos como tal, pero que pasado el tiempo se constituyó en una fortaleza, una marca indeleble, una huella personal que te distingue del resto y que está allí, porque vino en la entrega espontánea, que hicieron tus padres, además de la carga genética, en cada uno de sus aportes hubo protección, apoyo, sustento, amor y más.

De eso se trató la iniciativa №30 de Esa Vida Nuestra, la cual tuvo mucha participación y estoy muy agradecida por ello. Honrar padre y madre es uno de nuestros mandamientos y aunque la crianza haya estado marcada por algún hecho negativo, no podemos dejar de lado que llevamos una herencia con registros de lo aprendido.

Es importante señalar que el mayor regalo que tenemos con nosotros aparte de la vida misma, tiene que ver con la formación en valores. A su manera, cada progenitor se encargó de transmitir responsabilidad, honestidad, honradez, respeto, entre otros, y esto se constituyó en la mayor riqueza entregada. Ciertamente, no son nada tangibles pero son los que mayor peso tendrán para nuestro desenvolvimiento en sociedad, presente y futuro

La manera de mostrar el amor es variada, están los padres que demuestran con acciones, los indiferentes y los efusivos que expresan con besos y abrazos, pero aún en los casos donde no se expresa el sentimiento abiertamente, es el ingrediente con más peso para consolidar la familia. El apego a la naturaleza con el buen trato a los animales y cuidado de plantas fue uno de los rasgos que más se repitieron en las enseñanzas dadas.

Algunas familias se conformaron con propósitos definidos desde el comienzo, tener varios descendientes y unidos como bloques. Es interesante observar que aún en los casos donde no estaba la pareja completa, el propósito de la madre era que la unión prevaleciera.

En este recorrido familiar vimos madres fuertes y padres sensibles, muy al contrario de lo que se espera, algunos papás son más consentidores y se emocionan hasta las lágrimas con todo lo bueno que les pasa a los hijos. Este comportamiento queda grabado en el sentimiento de los hijos y su manera de ser como padres cuando llegue el momento de serlo..

En algunos casos, aunque hay mucho dolor, por los problemas de crianza, hay un sentimiento de comprensión y agradecimiento, al aceptar que no pudieron hacerlo de otra manera, dada la situación que arrastraban a su vez. La gente entiende que hay una responsabilidad individual en sanarse para seguir adelante.

En Esa Vida Nuestra quedan registrados los actos de agradecimiento para los padres, me gustó que algunos de ellos pudieron leer lo que sus hijos publicaron, pienso que ese tipo de homenaje en vida reconforta y que es un valor agregado que queden estas publicaciones para el futuro. Siempre es bueno saber cómo eran nuestros abuelos, cuáles eran sus virtudes y qué tenemos de ellos para seguir cultivando.

Quedo muy agradecida por la disposición con la que siempre me acompañan en cada iniciativa. Esta produjo un desborde de sentimientos y emociones, pero también el reconocimiento y la necesaria reflexión acerca de aspectos que hay que seguir sanando en aras del crecimiento personal.

It's important to note that the greatest gift we receive, apart from life itself, has to do with the formation of values. In their own way, each parent instilled responsibility, honesty, integrity, and respect, among others, and this became the greatest gift they bestowed upon us. Certainly, they are not tangible, but they are the ones that will have the greatest impact on our development in society, both present and future.

The ways of showing love vary. There are parents who demonstrate it with actions, those who are indifferent, and those who express it effusively with kisses and hugs. But even in cases where the feeling is not expressed openly, it is the most important ingredient for strengthening the family. Attachment to nature, along with caring for animals and plants, was one of the most repeated traits in the teachings given.

Some families were formed with defined goals from the beginning: to have several children and remain united as a unit. It is interesting to note that even in cases where the couple was not complete, the mother's goal was for the union to prevail.

In this family journey, we saw strong mothers and sensitive fathers, quite contrary to what is expected: some fathers are more indulgent and are moved to tears by all the good things that happen to their children. This behavior is etched in the children's feelings and their way of being as fathers when the time comes to become one.

In some cases, although there is much pain due to parenting problems, there is a feeling of understanding and gratitude, accepting that they could not have done it any other way, given the situation they were facing. People understand that there is an individual responsibility to heal in order to move forward.

That Life of Ours records the acts of gratitude for parents. I liked that some of them were able to read what their children published. I think this kind of tribute during their lifetime is heartwarming, and it's an added value to have these publications for the future. It's always good to know what our grandparents were like, what their virtues were, and what we have from them to continue cultivating.

I am very grateful for the willingness with which they always support me in each initiative. This produced an outpouring of feelings and emotions, but also recognition and the necessary reflection on aspects that must continue to heal for the sake of personal growth.
