Tomorrow I will be returning home to the #UK. Although not as hot as here I think the weather is still pretty nice on the South Coast. I have mixed feelings about going home but a bit less heat is one of the things I'm looking forward to.

I tried for about an hour to set up my node on an old gaming tower that had the right specs but couldn't figure it out and quit.
I've got an old dev-box from when things got restructured at work. Spun it up as a Linux box so as to skip the hoops required for Windows, still need to figure out a PeakD post and API, not a big blogger.
If you need help with the node I'm happy to look at what might be up.

What kind of apps do you use to create that? It looks so cool and back in the day, I used Krita and Gimp to make something similar like that.
I use Canva to blend different images for my theme when designing collages. Others use Photoshop / Gimp. I read posts to discover which programs they use. I've sampled Krita, but I'm terrible at traditional drawing and painting.

Not sure how X is I don't belong there. You can post as much as you want. Of course the audience here is still pretty small so you might wear out your welcome if you post too much. I spread out 3 or 4 Snaps a day but that's just me. Others do maybe 10 a day. Your call. :)

No. Nostr is very pro-bitcoin/sats, or the people are. Nostr is a different kind of thing, it's not a blockchain, so not like a layer 2. It's a protocol, a set of rules. You can build stuff on it. Currently, social media is the top use case, but lots of other stuff can be built.

3 Perennial Problems in Healthcare
It has been difficult to maintain consistency in writing on Hive, cause I write for love,and what I love most about writing is creating stories. Creating stories takes time, and you need to be in a state of creativity that allows a new reality to emerge from your mind coherently.
... I don't want to write just for the sake of writing anymore, but because what I write has some real meaning to me. Unfortunately, I feel like there's still not enough space on Hive for this type of content.
There is space on Hive for it, but it takes a LONG TIME, and consistent production and effort, to be seen doing it. There's also something to be said for what communities you post in, and how well they are supported. I would look through the Communities options in Ecency to see good places for writing -- then, get into a rhythm and settle down for the long haul.

In the 4 years I've been on Hive, this was my third post that raised a considerable value. I've been PU every day for the last 3 months, over 15k HP, KE below 3, I even talk about Hive to my dog to promote it.
The only question is: What's the reason for the DV?
The few times I've got up around $70-$100 on a post I've usually got a downvote. Usually just someone thinking they are protecting the integrity of the reward pool. I agree with you that I'm not the problem but I guess it makes them feel better somehow. 🤷♂
I imagined it, I know the rules of hive and it really hurts when it happens to you. If I was a farmer, if I got 50, 60, 90 dollars in 1 or 2 posts a week I would agree, but this was my 3rd post in 4 years of hive that got such a significant amount...
Sure, but is that post that valuable. To you it probably is worth that much, to the downvoter it isn't worth that.
And only way to encounter such downvote is to have a post get rewarded so much in the first place. Keep that in mind.
Someone thought your post was overvalued, one of the problems with Hive.

I've been employed by a company who up until the late 2010s was using zipping up folders as version control. You'd be surprised how bad companies are.

I try to do it. Spend enough time on Hive and you'll meet plenty of operators that you want to support with your votes. Now I don't have enough votes for everyone!
I use all 30, and I periodically go through based on what I find out different ones support and don't support -- proposals are important, but also what people who are witnesses say they think about the future of Hive and how its different members around the world are seen in that future is also important.
