        That is terrifying to consider ... first you see it and you think those are regular clouds, but then you notice the mountain is the source of the smoke, and then you realize what the scale must be ... and then you realize it is still beautiful ... that's what makes it overwhelming

              We had just moved to the area and our house was a couple miles up the road just to the right of the fire. We ended up having to evacuate for 5 days. It was a welcome to central Oregon. lol
