And there it is. I just posted a note on #Nostr using a bridge I made (it auto-bridges from Nostr to the Hive blockchain). Then, over on Hive, someone asked the magic question. This is how we #grownostr, by crossing off of Nostr Island onto other islands to people who have never heard of such a place.

No. Nostr is very pro-bitcoin/sats, or the people are. Nostr is a different kind of thing, it's not a blockchain, so not like a layer 2. It's a protocol, a set of rules. You can build stuff on it. Currently, social media is the top use case, but lots of other stuff can be built.
