Sort:
  1. you are a Real Life / World buddy of a whale. or maybe Whale girl friend.
  2. You are buddy buddy with some big account curators.
  3. State of the art or best practice in ass licking

All you write are short cuts. There are ways to get there but they take time and dedication I believe.

Unfortunately there are indeed real people who have climbed up and stay there using these methods.

For me it is all about the C's!

  • Consume content ~ try and find one newbie a day to welcome and consume at least 5 blogs per day.
  • Create content consistently ~ being consistent is key, as for content type and quality that is subjective as @dewabrata totally nailed it.
  • Curate content consistently ~ Use your power to vote content.
  • Comment and Engage as much as possible.
  • Consistency goes without saying.

Above all though have fun, if it isn't fun then take a break or look elsewhere as when things stop being fun in a place it becomes mundane at best, something else at worst!

Great question with plenty of food for thought!

content type and quality that is subjective as @dewabrata totally nailed it.

Quality is really subjective but I think we should all try to do a good job and always try to provide value for others. All the rest is definitely subjective...

  • Make a regualr and good content
  • be a good person and be friend with other hiveans
  • check on other's post, and leave a comment if you can
  • reinvest your reward, and gorw your power
  • the last one is what @dewarata said.

be a good person and be friend with other hiveans

Being a good person and showing empathy and doing things that we would like others to do to us is exactly how we can make a hive a nice place.

My Mom met my Dad when he came in for an Xray.
I still wonder what she saw in him.

  3. Not getting stuck in a rut of only writing about one subject
  4. Reach out and get to know others in other communities/ make friends
  5. Make sure to take care of your real life first, you can't be a success on Hive if you aren't taking care of yourself and your real world you live in

Make sure to take care of your real life first, you can't be a success on Hive if you aren't taking care of yourself and your real world you live in

To maintain a healthy balance between what we do outside of hive and our activity on hive is important to not burn out.

I believe that some simple but essential things are:

  1. Proactivity. You don't need to be in the hive every day, but one day when you can help, you may have already made someone have the best day of their life.

  2. Think about the community, try to take actions to help and make the network grow.

  3. Long-term commitment. Always reinvest a little. You don't have to leave all your money in the hive, but a little can help the ecosystem a lot.

  4. Always try to reinvent yourself. You are not a robot, so do your best to the best of your ability and with the time you have. You can change topics, you can be more creative by reading the text of the next person. In short, always innovate.

  5. And I believe that the most important thing is to try to grow, but without comparing yourself to the next person. Everyone has their own way of evolving. Remember to "have fun" and enjoy the journey.

  • Keep in mind to focus on what will be a good thing to do in HIVE.
  • Sometimes, the community will become your friend or foe. Find a good one for you.
  • Say no to AI-generated content
  • Say no to purposely voting without value and say no to downvoting just to bully someone or a community. There are always people who are different and it's what makes humans unique. Open-minded is a must.
  • Try not to post anything about war, religion, politics opinions that will cause drama. Just keep it yourself is better. Speech is golden, but silence is silver.

Stay !ALIVE everyone~

This is a very important point. If we want Hive to be a nice place, we should avoid using our power to fight other people...

Here are some aspects that I think are guidelines for a successful Hive life:

  1. Be here for fun. If for you Hive is a place where you think you can make money, you will be disappointed. Hive requires a long way, and on such a way to earn money is hard to come by. If you have fun, you will enjoy it and increase the value of your wallet over time.
  2. Find communities that match your interests, because that's the only way to have fun
  3. Connect through comments and answers with other members of those communities, communicate and get to know each other. Getting to know each other is a prerequisite for good fun.
  4. Publish interesting posts, and before that carefully read the rules of the community, because only if your post is in accordance with the conditions of the community, it will be recognized by other members of the community.
  5. Do HP boosting as often as you can, because every Hive you stake in HP will improve your ranking and besides yourself, your vote will bring more to the posts you vote for(on't skip PUD and try PUM days).
And regularly vote on any posts and comments you like.

Growing our HP is a very important component for our long time success I believe. In addition to that it's the only way to scale our income as well.

Interesting topic for the week. Here's my top 5:

  • Have fun
  • Connect with others
  • Try to be consistent (content, engagements)
  • Grow your stakes
  • Use your stakes by curating other people's content/comments

Use your stakes by curating other people's content/comments

It's one thing to grow our stake but if we just delegate it to other projects we miss a big opportunity to use it as a tool to reward readers and commenters.

Very true. Keeping more of one's stakes to do manual curation is still best :)

  1. Networking/Commenting. You need to communicate with other and engage with others.
  2. Being consistent
  3. Make content consistently. Focus on something that you want to write as it helps keep motivation up.
  4. Increase your HP stake. I think everyone needs some HP to reward the people who visit their post and also for governance on the blockchain.
  5. Have fun. It's a long road so you should focus on not burning out.

Finding a good balance is paramount for our long time survival on hive I believe.

For me, the simple is what works: consistency and commitment.
There may be more to it, but the most important thing for me are these two things.

That's true and they fork out in all the other aspects.

3 credits have been added for the liotes ranking

Assuming here that we are focusing mostly on the blogging/content aspects (rather than gaming or investing):

  1. Focus on being yourself and sharing what interests you, rather than worrying about what might be "popular."
  2. Be a regular content consumer, not just a content creator.
  3. Engage with content that sincerely interests you, and offer more than just "nice post."
  4. Reply to comments people take the time to leave on your posts.
  5. Emphasize having fun, rather than purely focusing on earning rewards.

Reply to comments people take the time to leave on your posts.

That's a real nugget. We all want people to read our content but if we leave the comments unanswered we give actually exactly the contrary message which is 'I don't care about you'. Therefore, answering every comment on our posts and even upvoting them is the most important step to show to our reader that we care about them.

My five cents, a little late but:

  1. You have to have support from someone, or big brother, or a curation trail, or friends
  2. To get support, you have to read posts and interact with posters, reply to comments, and be polite
  3. Try to post as regularly as possible, in communities you enjoy, and stick to the rules of posting, i.e., no artificially generated content, your photos, and videos
  4. Keep at it, because nothing happens overnight
  5. If all of the above feels like a kind of compulsion and not fun, then leave it, because Hive is not for you

To get support, you have to read posts and interact with posters, reply to comments, and be polite

If you do this well, it's possible that you can build up the basis for your point 1.

Of course, but that's only one possibility. Why not use all of them?

I like the fact that you put it into the 1st position.

Be yourself. Write about things that you like and never force yourself into writing just to write and get rewards! You will be happy and everyone :)

never force yourself into writing just to write and get rewards!

That's true when we force ourselves to write something without ideas or inspiration it's often not good and pulls the standard of what we do down.

  • Be determined
  • Interact with people
  • Build your account
  • Write quality posts

All very valid points. Thanks for your ranking!

To be successful on Hive, it is crucial to focus on the following aspects:

  • Consistency in publishing content, ensuring that it is of quality and relevant to your audience.
  • Actively interact with the community, commenting and supporting other users.
  • Optimize the use of tags to increase the visibility of your publications.
  • Build a network of loyal followers and collaborate with other bloggers.
  • Keep up to date with trends and changes within the platform to adapt your strategies.

It depends on what is considered a successful hivean for you, or me… but in general:

  • Have realistic goals and expectations.
  • Treat others like you want to be treated, have empathy.
  • Read and learn. A lot, especially in the beginning.
  • Be consistent and patient.
  • Don’t compare yourself with others.

Treat others like you want to be treated, have empathy.

That's so important. If we just lament that we have no comments and no upvotes on our posts we fail to realize that it's up to us to do it on other people's posts before we can expect it on our posts in return!

3 credits have been added for the liotes ranking

  • Networking is key. Afterall, it boils down to a competition of votes if everyone writes at a similar level of quality.
  • Posting regularly is another surefire way, and the most consistent method to grow your HIVE holdings.
  • Reinvesting all your earned HIVE will result in even greater HIVE growth.
  • Participating in the comments section also leads to networking and hence more possible votes.
  • Luck! Plenty of Luck! Sometimes, you just need to be in the right place at the right time!

Participating in the comments section also leads to networking and hence more possible votes.

The comments are the most important tool to build relations. It's were we can communicate and spread our 'brand'. It may lead to votes, to other comments and just to a lasting relationship.

I think I'd sum it up in 3:

Have time to write
Make interesting posts
Get visits from the Hive whales

Get visits from the Hive whales

There are very few whales and they often only vote what is already trending. The wait could be long ;-)

3 credits have been added for the liotes ranking

  • read lots :)
  • make more friends
  • keep your HIVE to grow even more
  • comment more
  • post even more too. :)

All very accurate :-)

That's an easy one!
1- Always take some time to read posts from other users.
2-Make quality posts.
3-Always be aware of new and old proposals.
4-Reinvest part of your earnings at least once a month.
5-Participate!! Participating in communities and conversations that are taking place on Hive will make you better known, and participating is contributing to growth.

If we just stay on the sideline we won't go very far. Being active and actually do things is the basis for all the rest :-)

  5. Take part in competitions.
