The start of the season is always the hardest moment to battle.
If you resume around 9 days after the reset, you play in a pool of less strong accounts. The best players should have moved already up in the higher league.

You are right, but Splinterlands have introduced modern bot account that are level 6+ and it's likely impossible to win from such accounts. Splinterlands should have changed this bot policy.

I did not know about that situation with the bots. If I am not mistaken the number of players in Modern format has dropped too much so the bots help reduce the wait during the search for an adversary.
