The Mana Well is a powerful source of elemental energy needed to extract new cards. To open a pack in your inventory, you simply have to drag and drop it into the Mana Well. Here I am talking about gladiator packs because I tested them only. After a successful purchase, when you drag and drop your pack into the mana well to open it, you get 5 cards, of which at least 1 card is guaranteed to be rare or better. I mostly extract wonderful cards from this pack, or I should say all Gladiator cards are amazing. Btw, in these packs, the chances of receiving the Commons are 75.2%, Rares are 20%, Epics are 4%, and Legendaries are 0.8%. You can also use the boosters to temporarily increase the chances of getting more powerful or higher rarity cards. I do use boosters almost every time while opening rarity draws and loot chests, but while opening the gladiator pack, I rarely use boosters, and I am still satisfied with all the cards I have added to my deck till now. It's really a great way to strengthen my deck. Today, just like every other time, as soon as I accumulated more than 2000 merits, I purchased another Gladiator pack, and as always, I got some great cards from it.
Today's pack contains two rare cards, Liza Fox and Sarius, and three common cards, one of which is Human Krash Wanderford, which I recently upgraded to level 2. While all these cards are great and can be useful in various battle conditions, the ones I liked the most at first glance are Liza Fox, Sarius, and Krash Wanderford. Although Liza Fox's health is a major drawback at a 7 mana cost, her attack power is strong enough to knock out a basic card in one hit. Similarly, Sarius also has relatively low health, but its attack power is better than basic, its speed is good, and its mana cost is quite low, making it a good option for low-mana battles. Finally, Krash Wanderford, the king of speed, doesn't come with any attack power, but with its Swiftness ability, it increases the speed of every card in the team by +1. Additionally, all the cards in this pack have a default ability called Bloodlust, which increases all their stats by +1 after every killing blow. This feature sets the Gladiator pack cards apart because it doesn't just increase one power, but increases every stat of the card by +1, which becomes a major headache for the opponent.
Although Gladiator cards cannot be used in Modern battles without a specific ruleset, these cards are currently only useful to me in guild battles. However, including these cards in my deck is still a great advantage because, as I mentioned before, I won't always be playing Modern battles. In the future, I will also play Wild battles, and by then, I will already have a whole army of these cards ready, which is also in higher levels, which I can use freely without any restrictions. So, this is a practice that I'm not fully benefiting from right now because the deck-building process is ongoing, but it will be very useful to me in the more challenging battle modes of Splinterlands.
