Namaste to all Korean Hive Villagers! ππ
Ever since I started watching Korean dramas, I have known one thing: these people are very fond of eating delicious food and mainly drinking soju. And this fondness is so strong that just like me, their eyes light up when they see their favourite food. ππ
And I am not talking about any particular drama here. If you are a fan of K-dramas or have watched some Korean dramas, then you will agree that in almost every drama, you will get close shots of delicious food and drinks, and I personally like this thing very much. Why? Because food and drinks play a significant role in connecting people, it is one of the few things that connects us all beyond borders and languages.
So after watching so many dishes in dozens of dramas, one Korean food that has made my mouth water the most is Kimchi. Well, for those who are unaware of it, kimchi is a traditional Korean side dish made from fermented veggies, mainly napa cabbage or radish and as far as I can understand, it tastes spicy, sour, slightly juicy, and mildly sweet. Ah, even while writing about it, I can fantasise about its taste.
I have never tried it, but 'Crash Landing on You' was one of the dramas I watched that showed how to make kimchi. But then I came to know that fish sauce is also used in making it, and I was heartbroken because I am a vegetarian, but then after a little research, I came to know that it can be made in a vegetarian way without fish sauce and it is also available in some places in Korea. Although I have not tried it yet, I want to, and hopefully soon I will get a chance to taste authentic kimchi somewhere in my city maybe, and whenever that happens, I will share that experience also with you all. π₯’
