Indian Blackberry (Jamun) Tree on the Street!

in Feel Good4 months ago

Namaste!

Although I don't like Jamun (Indian Blackberry) much, but when it comes to any fruit tree, I like all of them.

It was yesterday that I was going to my elder brother's house for some work and in his street I saw a small tree laden with hundreds of little blackberry-like fruits on it.

This tree is not new here, meaning obviously I had seen it many times before but I had never seen fruits on it. Maybe this is the season of this fruit or perhaps this is the year when this tree becomes suitable to bear fruits. Because even in the same season last year I did not see any fruit on it or maybe I did not pay attention to it. Whatever..

At this time this tree is laden with fruits and most of the fruits are completely black and ripe. To be honest, since childhood, I have seen very big Jamun trees, So, I obviously was surprised to see so many Jamuns growing on such a small tree. :)

And the most amazing thing is that these fruits were within reach of my hands. haha! So even though I don't like this fruit but my wife does so I plucked some Jamuns from this tree for her. Their shape was quite different from the Jamuns I often see in the market, these ones were comparatively smaller and rounder.

But their taste was as bad as that of any other Jamun. LOL! But what difference does it make, the person for whom these fruits were plucked certainly enjoyed it. #MeraKaamHoGaya or #MyJobIsDone :D

I hope you liked this fruit and my Phone Photography! ;)

Where I live in Indonesia there are lots of this fruit, and I often pick it when it's perfectly ripe, if it's made into a salad it's definitely really delicious 😋😋

Great, you are fully surrounded by your favourite fruits ☺️

In Nigeria we don have such fruits. They get imported and are being sold in our supermarkets. Nevertheless they taste really hot that I must confess though they are a bit expensive over here, so I get to buy once in a blue moon.

So you like this fruit? That's quite honest confession btw :D Well, apart from its weird taste this fruit actually has many health benefits, especially for diabetes and to improve gut health.

They actually are. :) Thank you!

Akele Akele kha lo bhai , sab deekh raha hu meh...

Arre nahi khana ye jaamun yaar tu aake le ja saare jaamun, bas aise naraz mat ho😜😂

Parcel krva do 😆

Akhilji, this is very beautiful. There is so much fruit, and it is a very good blackberry tree. Mostly, this type of tree is found in cities, in villages there are blackberries with large fruits. This is very medicinal. It is very useful for people suffering from diabetes.👍

Haan mulik ji, maine padha iske baare mein ye sach mein kaafi kamaal ke guno wala fal hai. Villages mein iski acchi quality milti hogi yahan to probably aise hi ug aaya hoga ye warna cities mein kahan maintain karte hain log aise bade trees.

Sahi kaha bhai , cities maie to pedon ka dam ghut jataa hai .

Shayad isiliye ped bhi itna kamzor sa hai warna maine bachpan se hi jaamun ke ped bahut bade aur ghane dekhe hain.

Hello @untilwelearn

Thank you bhattg for this curation. 😊🙏

After reading this post, I remembered my childhood when many such blackberries would fall on the ground and I would pick them up and eat them.

They were more enjoyable to eat than blackberries bought from the market.😂

Seriously, I also experienced all that in my childhood. There is a different pleasure in eating fruits by plucking them yourself. :D

Where I live, I also have lots of it and not only can it be eaten and enjoyed, the leaves can also be used as medicine.

this fruit is a power pack, not only its leaves but its seed also has a lot of medicinal properties. Good to know that you also enjoy this fruit. :)
