Some loving on Beer Saturday

in BEERlast month

Hello Hivians and all you beer lovers.

It's Saturday, which means it's #beersaturday, not that you need an excuse to drink a beer of course!

I was in some supermarket the other day when my eyes were drawn to ...

ROCK BOTTOM PRICES

Back when I was a lad the top shelf was always reserved for the nudey mags! Now of course so much printed material has vanished!

LOVE LANE NEW ENGLAND IPA

I did get come cans down from the top shelf and I think they were around £1.25 to £1.30 which is ridiculously cheap now for alcohol in Scotland. The price was obscured by a fluffing sign... Inconsiderate buggers!

I was pretty sure that I would not be in LOVE with it at that price!

The shop was Home Bargains so would I find LOVE LANE a bargain or not?

Smooth and Creamy

It was pretty drinkable

image.png

Then I sat down and the next two while watching the most abject abhorrent and pathetic performance from my beloved Rangers football team!

image.png

But they finally sacked the manager Russel Martin, who has to be the worst manager ever. He was our shortest manager and the worst by a country mile!

Good riddance to bad rubbish!

LOVE LANE BREWERY

image.png

Love Lane Brewery is a popular spot in Liverpool, England. It's known for being a brewery, bar, and kitchen all under one roof, located in the Baltic Triangle, which has been dubbed the "coolest" district in the UK.

The brewery is based in a former rubber factory that was bombed during World War II and sat derelict for years.

The name "Love Lane" comes from an old street in Liverpool where the brand's first pale ale was originally brewed in 2010.

My Verdict ...

☑️ Value For Money ☑️ Recommended!

I loved it! I quite like this Hazy type IPA and found it to be fruity, smooth, and creamy.

A pleasant drink and at 5.0% it is drinkable and represents fluffing good value!

Haste Ye Back!

Sort:

Hehehe. Maybe I would have some tomorrow😛. But with food. 😌

ooooh the one week I don't invite you, you go out for one hehe, enjoy it maganda

Don't 'bargain buys' often taste better, seeing low price puts you in good mood before you crack it open to swill.

!BEER

They really do Joan, as it turns out they have three other types that are just as good bargain buys jeje

!BEER

Will have to return before the special pricing runs out, stash them as beer seldom goes off. 😉

Hey @joanstewart, here is a little bit of BEER from @tengolotodo for you. Enjoy it!

It's the first time I see that a beer in your country is affordable. I could buy that one!! I like the colors, the name, and that 5%. As for the team, what can I tell you that I haven't already? At least they got rid of the coach. Let's hope for a better performance soon. Oh, I accept the invitation. Hugs from Love Lane😎

Yeah it was affordable although I remember when you could buy in a pub for less than this jeje!
Yeah he finally was sacked! It looks like we are getting Stevie Gerrard back who was the manager when we last won the title. We shall see. Loving that Love Lane hug 😎

That's a great find at that price! The best part is it tastes great too... Sounds like you found a possible go to beer to keep a few in the fridge. Of course then you would spend less enjoyable time browsing the beers in the supermarket isle. Sometimes it's fun to explore those isles looking for some new gems to try out!

It was surprisingly good, and was good to see that it is from a real brewery and bar, and not just some mass produced crap for a chain!
Yeah exploring is fun I can't argue with that hehe

as you know I don't drink anymore, but love the design of the brandon the can.
looks so young and lively. :)
!PIMP !LUV !LOLZ

Yeah the branding works! Quite tasty too hehe
