Greetings, beautiful FreeCompliments community. It's the first time I've published here and I can say that I think it's great that there is a niche dedicated to compliments and pleasant gestures and words. Great!
There is a saying that I believe is universal, which says: “The devil is in the details”, and this is a saying that is fundamentally used to point out that many times the failure of something is due to something minimal. It is a very true saying, since it is the small details that can contribute something negative, or on the contrary, be positive, constructive elements that can make a difference.
By bringing this saying to the realm of social interactions, it becomes even more relevant, because a word said at the wrong time or in an inappropriate tone, a poorly formulated sentence, an inappropriate gesture, an omission, or a late action, can erode any human relationship; and on the contrary, an affectionate word, a timely silence, a greeting, a friendly gesture, can strengthen a bond. Hence the complexity of the relational world…
Not all people have the same capacity to connect with others, or it could be said, not everyone has sufficient emotional intelligence and social intelligence to relate harmoniously with third parties. Many times this inability is due to the fact that people really lack such skills, and in other cases, because they are simply not interested in being empathetic or gentle with others. In both cases the result is the same: Frustrating human relationships.
For a person who finds it difficult to bond with others, it is not always easy to learn to do so; however, I believe that there are things that can make such an interaction flow, even at a superficial level, such as basic rules of courtesy. A greeting, a farewell, a please, a thank you, a to order, can make an interaction more beautiful and optimize the relational environment. Unfortunately, it seems that courtesy is something that no longer interests many people, since they rarely use it, it is as if it had gone out of fashion. Applying the rules of a good listener and a good speaker (which were stressed to us so many times in school) is also essential to be able to live harmoniously in society.
I think it is very important to recover the basic rules of courtesy, and teach them to the youngest, for which there is nothing better than leading by example. I think that impoliteness looks even more ugly and shocking when we see it in a child or young person, and vice versa, courtesy is beautiful and hopeful when we see it in the youngest. So why don't we revalue courtesy and incorporate it as an essential part of our lives?
Here I end my post today, where I invite you to make courtesy fashionable again, and make it something everyday. Thank you very much for reading this far. Hugs!
