All of us were once a new comer when we joined hive and while some of us got friends who guided us to do great things on Hive blockchain, a lot of us landed here without friends and struggled to understand and know what are the things we should take care of or which we should do to get a good start on hive.
I am not a big player on hive though I have dreams of being one someday. I am still a person who can tell what are things one can do to grow on hive in the best way possible. So, If anyone is new on hive and wants a short guide post this one will help them for sure.
The first two things that you must have in yourself are patience and consistent with using hive blockchain. Your first post might not reach your desired audience and without patience and consistency you will end up giving up on hive and eventually leaving the platform with bad memories about it.
Interactions are second main thing in my opinion that one must start doing. When you start interacting with people, you make friends and build long term relationships. In case of India United and many other communities you have their Discord server where you can meet a group of people together.
Educating yourself about the platform is the third most important thing in my opinion. Understand what is liked and what is not liked by people on the platform. Avoid plagiarism and using AI for writing your blogs as people will catch you and that will be get you no where.
Learn about different frontends. Like if you are interesting in technology and finance you can join Inleo as your first frontend and there you will meet people of your type. If you have a neutral taste then Ecency is the best and I personally use that as my favorite frontend for last 3 years now. Peakd is for people creating video content.
Participate in contests as that will make your profile get reach to people easily. When you participate in contests people start knowing you and then you not only stand a chance to earn votes and rewards for your efforts but also make some more long term friends.
Lastly set short term goals and start working towards them. For example reaching 100 HP can be your first goal. When we set goals we get a reason to work towards achieving them so don't keep yourself idle without having any goals. Do not fear of not achieving the goals you set.
