Hello Guys.
I hope your weekend was amazing
I had a beautiful weekend and I hope for better next week and am staying positive towards it.
Being a woman has taught me alot of things and it has helped me alot in motherhood.
As a lady i had learned how to sew, bead, crochet, and make hair, mostly because I'm a privileged mother of three adorable girls.
Recently my Kids had a cultural day at school and they were supposed to dress with tribal attires,my kids were given different tribes ,my first daughter already had a dress befitting for her tribe so I had to quickly make a dress for my second daughter since I was informed late .

For my first daughter she used a peplum top and a skirt , popularly used by the Hausa tribe of Nigeria

and for my second daughter she used a gown with gathers at the end ,I used a traditional Igbo wrapper and incorporated my own style which was the gathers.

Materials I used were
3 yards of Ankara
1 yard of velvet
1½ yard of hardnet
1½ yard of lining
Zip
Hemming gum and
Thread.
Measurements I took for the dress was
Shoulder, bust, waistline, knee-length,knee to ground length, round sleeve and the length for the round sleeve.

I was quite careful with the velvet because it easily creases and requires extra care while cutting.

I spent about seven hours trying to make this dress being that it's my first time trying such a style
I'm so glad I could get it right.
Here's the final results after I was done and there is my daughter at the cultural day celebration.
