I believe in a few years it going to be more and the class room is going to become fully computerized, which is already seen in most private school,in my excitement I want more, yes more.

Growing up while still in my basic class far back in primary school trade subject where introduce to us but became compulsory after I had moved from primary, in primary school trade was an association, just the way we have food club, home makers club and the rest, so that we could just pick which we wanted and never did we pick any trade subject as a club,we would rather pick cultural and dance club, tourism club, art and crafts club, instead of a trade club, but in secondary school it wasn't just compulsory it was a subject so no one could run from it there where so many trade subject that included
1: Fishering- which was all about fish farming
2: Animal husbandry- which was the careing of animals
3: Mechanical and electrical- which was basic auto repair, and body work, air conditioner refrigerator and electrical installation
4: Arts and craft- which is painting, garment making (tie and dye)
5: Photography
6: Woodworking- which is furniture and carpentry
7: Marketing
8: Phone maintenance.

Just to mention a few, back than in school we had no choice but to pick the one we like and attend, funny how this classes carry student alone this was like the only most interesting class alot of us had, because it was partical, back than the classes where just introduction and we all thought in the higher institution, that is the university we would get to see something like that but no.

Really even I don't understand the need for those classes back than but I took photography because I love taking pictures, and when I was leaving secondary school I was glad it would end there, if I had known how important having a trade was back than.

In other words education should involve practical works, it took me time to understand this, as a graduate who is serving and also a certified educationalist I have come to an understanding that child learn more when there are carried along and that was what those trade subject did for us back than we where carried along and we where given practice assignment that where eager to do.

In all of the development that is hitting the educational systems especially the public ones I pray wish and hope that this trade subject is taking serious and enforced even in the tertiary level.

With the rise of joblessness if everybody leaving the university already has a trade or skill, as they call it a handwork, it would be easy and it would help reduce the high rate of joblessness, if learning a skill was included in the curriculum of studies then it would be very difficult to have graduates without a handwork but now because everyone has to pick from their pockets from the little they are already trying to survive from to learn a trade (handwork) a lot of people would rather not.

Well leaving the university and already knowing how the system is annoying that without a handwork and the hope of a job a lot could go wrong, I had to go learn a trade.

I believe if the government body in charge of the educational systems looking to putting practical works in the educational system it would help bring out not just intelligent student but also well skilled individuals.

Because why do we have to leave school, than go and learn a trade from who has never been through school and argue that education is the key to success.

This is such a real take. I felt every word - especially the part about learning trades in school. Back then it didn't seem serious, but now? It makes so much sense. Imagine if we all graduated with actual skills and not just certificates. The way you tied it to joblessness and the future of education is so on point.
Learning a trade early really makes a difference, especially now with how hard jobs are to find.

Of only the right body can see this and run with it, we will not just have certificate we would have both and become employers to create jobs for other.

Thank u so much for reading through @kristabel123

Education should really involve practical works, but in many failed countries like mine all we get are theories with zero practical.

In fact if everyone leaving university already had a skill , the rate of social vices would even reduce. And if the higher ups won’t listen, we can still do it on our own by learning those skills.
