The fact that there are different types of animals in the planet, is quite astonishing. Some of these animals have not yet been discovered by us.
Cute animals exists within different species. There are some that are as beautiful as the morning sun, which some are, well, not beautiful. Some are dangerous and wild while some are not dangerous. These non dangerous animals can be used as pets or for the purpose of accomplishing a task. Like the cow for farmers.
Though I do not have any pet as at the moment, I am a lover of dogs. I also like reptiles like snakes. The have beautiful coloring, good looking skins but they are really scary and some can be deadly yaknow.
Couples with the fact that I love dogs and i like snakes, I also love nature. I feel like being in nature is the only peaceful thing thing here is on earth. Exploring natural habitat is a hobby I developed over the years.
Few months ago, I went to visit a friend of mine in Abiriba, Abia state Nigeria. Fortunately, s ome other acquaintances were also there. It made it even fun to chat and have fun. Somebody brought up the idea to go out and we all agreed. Being one who is not very familiar with the environment, I asked if there is any natural place that is good for sight seeing. They said yes and proposed to take me there, since we are going out anyways.
I waited patiently for them to dress up so we can go out. With hopes in my eyes, we went out to to a place where water flows out from rocks. I was amazed by the sight as he beauty of the place engulfed my eyes. This is a very good place to chill and relax and think, I said to myself.
They went further to tell me that the place is called Iyi Okoba. The said that people come there to get water for drinking. They brought out some for me to drink but I politely rejected it. Stating that I was not thirsty. The water was crystal clear, cold upon touching.
We were passing a place where bamboo sticks are planted to go to the other part of iyi Okoba. Still in the process of passing, we were visiting and laughing. The next thing we heard was the sound of dry leaves rustling. At first, we thought it was not a cause for alarm and we continued our talks. The rustling continued for quite a while and we decided to investigate. Upon close inspection, we saw a green snake moving away from were we stood.
Every body was shocked. Instinctively, we grabbed what we could get for self defense. We tried to chase it but failed. The realization of the fact that we were still in the middle of the bamboo sticks made us really scared.
Gradually, we began to go back to were we came from whole look left, right, up and down to see if there is anything that is going to attack. Lol. After a while of being, we came out of the bamboo sticks to where there was less plants around.
When we got there, everyone breath a sigh of relief. The next thing I heard was a huge laughter coming from everyone. They began to mock how we reacted to the threat. Lol. Trust guys to friendly insult each other. Haha After the event, we decided that we have seen enough, and went out to chill somewhere else.
This event did not actually taught me anything new, but I got reminded about the fact that even if I like snakes, they are still very dangerous to me.
Also, it also made me understand that animals maintain their territory a lot. Crossing their path may bring their wrath upon the culprit.
It also made me understand that snakes are peaceful animals until you look for their troubles. They run away from troubles, but they welcome it when it comes sto the .
This is my response to the hive learners prompt.
Thank you for reading 😊
