Today, I cooked a very simple meal: Cabbage and Potato Tinola.
This dish is perfect when you want something healthy, and easy to prepare.
With just a few ingredients from the kitchen, you can already make a nourishing soup that your whole family will surely enjoy.
Ingredients

• Chicken — 250-300 grams
• Cabbage — 2 to 3 cups, chopped
• Potatoes — 1 large, sliced
• Ginger — 1 tablespoon, chopped
• Garlic — 1 tablespoon, minced
• Onion — 1 small, sliced
• Cooking oil — 1 tablespoon
• Salt & pepper
• Water or broth — 3-4 cups
• Fish sauce (patis) — 1 tablespoon
Cooking Steps

• Start by heating a little oil in a pot. After that, sauté the garlic, onion, and ginger until fragrant.

• Next, add the chicken pieces, pour in the fish sauce, sprinkle a little salt and ground pepper, and mix everything together so the chicken can absorb all those savory flavors. Cover the pot and let it cook for a few minutes.

• After that, add water. This will create a soothing broth. Cover it again, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes until the chicken becomes tender and flavorful.

• When the soup was already smelling so good, add the sliced potatoes. Cook them for another 10 minutes until they soften nicely.

• Then place the cabbage into the pot, and let it cook for about 10 more minutes. The leaves will turn tender but still fresh-looking.

And just like that, our cabbage and potato tinola was ready to serve!! ✨👌🏼

This is best enjoyed while still hot.
Also, for extra flavor, prepare a dipping sauce of fish sauce and calamansi.
If you have chili, better add a little, to make it even more delicious. 💖😋
Warning: Cook more rice than usual because this dish will definitely make you eat more. Haha!
Until my next soup dish...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
