NFT Showroom partnered with Alien Art Hive for a SPRING CHALLENGE during the month of April. After participating and submitting and minting three entries, I wanted to design some free projects as Spring is a lovely reminder of renewal and a new beginning.
There's still time until April 30th to join in. Check out NFTShowroom's challenge post here: nftshowroom X alienarthive SPRING CHALLENGE.
According to the challenge post, just:
- making art that represents spring for you;
- minting it on: https://nftshowroom.com;
- making a blog post about your art and link to your minted piece in Alien Art Hive Community; and
- using "nftshowroom" in your tags.
@nftshowroom and @alienarthive remind us that Spring often symbolizes renewal, growth, rebirth, fertility and transformation. It can also represent a period of hope and optimism after winter's end. Also, @nftshowroom will be featuring all the SPRING ART minted on the NFT Showroom home page / twitter and Alien Art Hive will be curating your blog posts.
Below are my remaining Spring themed Art designs. None of designs below are yet minted on NFTShowroom.
THEME PROJECT #1: Caturday in Spring
Now, although I haven't owned a pet, especially a cat, in over thirty years, I do admire all kinds of domesticated animals and their owners. The dedication I see and read about is truly remarkable. The feeling is one of love as owners treat these pets as one would a child, and regard them as members of their families. So, for this design, I chose a Caturday in Spring. A Hive member, @redheadpei, contributed her pet to the #LMAC Free Database for members' use. Her image is a favorite of mine. The cat glances downward as if spotting an unusual item. Lovely colors on the animal.
THEME PROJECT #2: Surprise, Hailey, Spring Is Here
I utilized a stable diffusion program to produce the young girl, I named "Hailey". What a surprise she received when Spring arrived. The wheat color of her hair blended well with the spring color theme in this design. When I designed the prompt for the image, the eyes with a look of surprise was what made this group of images attractive. The flower design is also from StarryAI.
THEME PROJECT #3: Do I Hear A Hummingbird?
How fun this design was to create. Although the woman can't see, she can hear the delightful buzz of the hummingbird. Surrounded by the songs of Spring, I converted an abstract image to somewhat resemble somewhat musical notes.
THEME PROJECT #4: Easter Bunny Surprise
We all adore those cute bunnies that children who participate in the festivals associate with Easter and love to admire. Not realizing the attention and care required, they pressure their parents to take one home. I know I did. Of course, my level-headed parents abruptly declined to pursue that line of conversation. One stern look, and I quickly moved on to another topic. They knew we couldn't afford to purchase one or provide for its upkeep.
I utilized this design from mixed media sources as my thumbnail for this project. A pure fractal I designed in the advanced fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X served as the skyline backdrop.

THEME PROJECT #5: Hummingbird's Paradise
Another humming bird theme. Just because I love hummingbirds. Once I built a bird house in the backyard hoping to attract these busy little birds. I wasn't successful, but other type birds made use of my design. It's been years since, and the house is no longer standing, but I do miss seeing the variety of birds that visited.
In this design, the hummingbird is in full color as it visit a young girl. Both images are from StarryAI. The butterflies are my pure fractals I also designed in Apophysis 7X.

I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images. I then add layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, colorize, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required. Perhaps of all the tools, the ability to remove backgrounds thereby creating transparencies of the images is crucial to the blending process.
Below are the images I included in the various projects.
Stable diffusion images from StarryAI. The last image is from Night Cafe:
