The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I have moved to Wild League after the changes to Glint rewards and I have been liking it there. I stayed in Modern League and was able to get more rewards compared to last season. It shows that I could move up a bit further so the reward difference wasn't as large. I am still going to be in modern but I don't really see myself moving over to Wild League at all given my lack of time and the cost of DEC. The new chests being added to the league advancement is good and I was able to collect some extra rewards. I am going with a strategy of purposely losing at the end of the season to get more chests rewards.
Season Rewards
I ended up with 16,619 Glint for last season, which is more than the previous season. Work has been keeping me busy, so I haven't been playing as often lately, but I was able to make some time near the end of the season. I should be trying to get more reward cards to strengthen my deck.
Above are my rewards from the league advancements. Just like last season, I am getting mainly common and rare cards along with some merits. I think it's still pretty decent since my glint is focused on epic cards so these cards can still help me in ranked battles. I did get a gold foil rare card so it will help me out in brawls.
It was one less than last season but I got some different cards. I am glad to see something outside of Night Reaper. Either way, my cards will slowly go up over time with these increases.
Gladius Packs
I have collected 8 packs since the last time I opened packs. The number of packs is higher than last time and my luck was decent this time. I got 2 epic cards and one gold foil common card.
I was able to upgrade my gold foil Chimney Wallstop to level 4. It has bloodlust and reach ability. Increasing its level increased its attack by 1. I use this card occasionally in brawls, and increasing the gold foil version of this card helps there.
SPS
My SPS rewards were higher this time because I didn't wait until the last minute last time. I think both are around the same ratio so I don't think there is much to say here.
My pool reward for the season is 100.903 SPS. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 226.633 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected.
Conclusion
I am still unable to use up all my energy every single day, but I was able to get more SPS compared to the season before. The new system where we get rewards for league advancements has motivated me to try to play a few games a day. However, I see that my motivation tends to dip towards the middle or end of a season because I can't advance any further. This was the same last season, but at least there is some motivation towards the start or middle of a season to geet as much as possible.
