I have been in my state for the last few days, where I volunteered in a trail running event. Runners ran 50 km in 8 hours. I enjoyed the event a lot but I did not like waking up at 3 am. Volunteering in a running event is really a very hard work. The next day after the event, my friend took me to his farm.
This is a commercial farm which is open for tourists. People who come here on weekends spend a few hours amidst the greenery away from the city and enjoy the fresh food prepared here. I have been coming here for many years and to tell the truth, I like staying here more than in the city. Gurugram is a city where almost all the companies have their offices.
People get ready every day and reach the office at 9 am and spend their time there till 5 pm. People come here to escape this hectic life so that they can spend some time amidst nature and prepare themselves for the next week. I live in the Himalayas, so I don't like the fast life of the city. Seeing the fast life here, I wonder what everyone is running after.
Anyway, the food cooked on the farm is made from the vegetables grown on the farm. You can also buy seedlings, plants, pots, fertilizers and vegetables from here. These days, mustard, cabbage, onion, lily flowers, carrots, radish and spinach are sown in the fields. We ate potato-cauliflower curry, dal, lassi and corn roti while roaming here.
After eating to our fill, we spent several hours lying here in the sun. After staying for a day or two, I will go back to my home where I will meet the mountains, which I am eagerly waiting for. So in today's post, I have published some black and white photos by clicking on my friend's farm. I hope you will like them. Thank you, have a good day.
This is my entry for monomad challenge
