We live is abject darkness in a modern world in part of Africa. We only hear that nations have celebrated tens of years experiencing no power outage. To us, it is not possible because down here, nothing like that exists.

Yeah, Australia has a very stable power grid and it's rare for the electricity to drop out which is great. Of course, many other countries don't enjoy that benefit for many reasons I guess.

For Austrialia and parts of Europe and the Americas, it is understandable when there is power outage. Here in sub-Saharan Africa, power supply is a huge failure. There has never been a time when we enjoyed power supply for ten day consecutively in the last ten to twenty years.

Yup. Biggest issue today would be to handle money though (no light = no internet = no digital money, including credit cards etc). We'd quickly go back to paper, metals or barter; or at least until we adjust to off-grid generation. But you mean no electricity at all, right?

Not much planned. The heat here makes fishing a downer. Probably work on the yard and flowers in the evenings. Mostly watch the Euro2024 games to stay in the cool and drink a brew or two.

It's going to be cold here but that's ok...I'll do some work on my computer tomorrow, (after getting back from the range), maybe hit a cafe later for a read and a coffee and Sunday I have to head to mall (hate it) to pick up some stuff and maybe have a bite to eat. Pretty laid back.

It continues to bet on the variety of topics and I think it's good because it generates more creativity.
Speaking of creativity, I think it's great the way you started because beyond the quality of the poem, what is really interesting is the different way of starting a work.
Sometimes I get carried away and try to make poetry and if the recipient likes it or I feel good doing it I am more than satisfied.

My favorite themes are related to education for the future, living with or without electricity and solving a mystery.

But, I must participate in a topic and education is one of my passions, so I think that's where my participation will be.

I believe a.i. is only going to be abused and used as a weapon. And that will destroy any good that could be done by it.

Real life examples are already being seen in Gaza with the use of the lovely "Lavander" a.i. threat assessment programming for killing and collateral damage. Much of this mass killing being carried out by drones. Straight up terminator skynet stuff.

One person was saying that normal artist start selling their art at around 500 dollars and he is ,,only'' getting 35 dollars for AI created prints. As someone who has never sold a piece for as much as 500 and has sold for 20 and 50 eur(and gifted many pieces away) I feel no sympathy for that AI ,,artist''.
