I Was Late

in CCH2 days ago (edited)

This Sunday post will be my contribution to #sublimesunday initiated by @c0ff33a, #beautifulsunday initiated by @ace108

I was late on both occasions!

Yes, I was late to come to the parade, and also to make this post here on Hive.

I took these photos during a small parade held by the daycare where I sent my son. The parade was in accordance to the Balinese New Year Celebration, where usually we do the parade a day before the New Year, called Pengrupukan and the people usually use bigger colorful statues called Ogoh-ogoh.

I would not talk about that, but I want to talk about this parade which my son my his friend were doing.

I arrived late to the park, where they held the parade. I needed to go to the tax office to sort out my online tax account so that I could report my tax payment. And when I finished doing my stuff, my wife called me telling me that the parade had started. I rushed to the park, and luckily I still could get some of these photos below, it was when they were about to finish the parade.

You can see the kind below, they were all having fun. One kid on the right used the traditional cymbal, and then on the left were the ones who paraded the small statue.

Thank you very much Melinda, I appreciate it very much.

Such activities are really good to keep the children connected to their roots and to carry forward the legacy of traditions. The kids look really excited and happy also all of them look so cute in these costumes☺️

Thank you very much my friend. I am also so happy for them, they can learn about the culture from the start, the combination of modern and traditional experience.

Lovely costumes, the head band adds a nice finishing touch to it. Practicing the tradition at an early age ensure a great foundation to keep the culture alive for future generations. Really wonderful picture shots :)

Happy New Year.
Sure looks like a fun parade and the kids seem to really enjoy the moments.
