Nuestra querida comunidad de Holos Lotus, ha traído ante nosotros una propuesta bellísima con motivo del Día Mundial del Arte, que celebramos con entusiasmo cada 15 de abril. Este día no solo es una fecha en el calendario, sino que tambien es una celebración de la esencia misma de la creación, de esa chispa que arde en lo más profundo de nuestro ser.

Our dear community of Holos Lotus, has brought before us a beautiful proposal on the occasion of World Art Day, which we celebrate with enthusiasm every April 15. This day is not only a date on the calendar, but also a celebration of the very essence of creation, of that spark that burns in the deepest part of our being.

El arte se presenta como una expresión que demanda dedicación y un amplio aprendizaje. Sin embargo, en medio de esta vasta trayectoria, hay quienes que sin haber recorrido los pasillos de una universidad o haber asistido a una academia de arte, sienten que vivir sin crear sería como intentar respirar sin aire. Esos artesanos, esos soñadores que, por horas y horas, nos hemos refugiado en nuestros pequeños santuarios, diseñando y plasmando en papel y lienzo nuestras más íntimas emociones, sin percatarnos del paso del tiempo, inmersos en un universo donde solo existimos nosotros.

Art is presented as an expression that demands dedication and extensive learning. However, in the midst of this vast trajectory, there are those who, without having walked the halls of a university or attended an art academy, feel that living without creating would be like trying to breathe without air. Those artisans, those dreamers who, for hours and hours, have taken refuge in our small sanctuaries, designing and capturing on paper and canvas our most intimate emotions, without noticing the passage of time, immersed in a universe where only we exist.

Más que arte... - More than art...

El arte es poder crear una nueva materia en este espacio. Es la representacion de nuestro espiritu, conciencia, amor, esencia, algo que es maravilloso porque nos hace sentir llenos cuando la materialización de ese objeto o cosa que hemos construido. El arte tranciende las culturas, los idiomas y la politica, es un idioma universal que logra ser percibido por cada persona de formas diferentes.

Art is to be able to create a new matter in this space. It is the representation of our spirit, conscience, love, essence, something that is wonderful because it makes us feel full when the materialization of that object or thing that we have built. Art transcends cultures, languages and politics, it is a universal language that can be perceived by each person in different ways.

Mi etapa Creativa en la Costura -My Creative Stage in the Sewing

Desde muy pequeña me gustaba dibujar, dibujaba muchas caras de los proceres de la independencia de mis pais una y otra vez porque mi papá me indicaba como hacerlo, generalmente él siempre encontraba un detalle que yo debia mejorar, asi que yo lo hacia una y otra vez. Sin embargo, al llegar a la secundaria perdí la practica. Por otra parte, siempre me gustó mirar como las señoras tejian las hamacas y todos los diseños que ellas hacian.

Since I was very little I liked to draw, I used to draw many faces of the proceres of the independence of my country over and over again because my dad would show me how to do it, usually he always found a detail that I should improve, so I did it over and over again. However, when I got to high school I lost the practice. On the other hand, I always enjoyed watching the ladies weave the hammocks and all the designs they made.

Mi querido abuelo Manuel hacia muchos trabajos artesanos, asi qué poco a poco tambien me fui interesando ya cuando estaba en la universidad por la costura, al principio no tenia maquina de coser así que hacia los trabajos a mano alzada. Recuerdo que pasaba dias cosiendo una única prenda.

My dear grandfather Manuel made many handicrafts, so little by little I was also interested in sewing when I was in college, at first I didn't have a sewing machine so I sewed freehand. I remember spending days sewing a single garment.

Luego logré adquirir una maquina de coser, la cual es la misma que utilizo actualmente. Es una maquina Singer modelo antiguo de metal, fiel y duradera la que me acompaña en mis procesos creativos. Coser a mano no es igual que coser en una maquina de coser y más aun cuando es una maquina vieja, logré conseguir tutoriales para lograr utilizar la maquina de coser y luego inicié haciendo ejercicios en hojas de papel para tener mayor motricidad al momento de coser. A veces me sentia perdida, pero estaba esa chispa que me decia que si lo podia lograr. Asi que, poco a poco aprendi lo basico para coser y con el paso del tiempo coser es parte de mi vida.

Then I managed to acquire a sewing machine, which is the same one I currently use. It is an old metal Singer machine, faithful and durable, which accompanies me in my creative processes. Sewing by hand is not the same as sewing on a sewing machine and even more when it is an old machine, I managed to get tutorials to get to use the sewing machine and then I started doing exercises on sheets of paper to have more motor skills when sewing. Sometimes I felt lost, but there was that spark that told me that I could do it. So, little by little I learned the basics of sewing and over time sewing has become part of my life.

La pintura - The Paint

Al igual que coser, poder pintar es una de las cosas que amo hacer. Sinceramente volví a pintar gracias a Hive, miré que había buenas recompensas y un buen nicho dentro del arte de la pintura e inicié el proceso de retomar los dibujos. Pero eso con el tiempo se transforma en algo más y es que pintar te conecta con el espíritu, con la naturaleza y aleja los malos momentos, pintar es una medicina para el alma y un resguardo para el espíritu.

Like sewing, being able to paint is one of the things I love to do. I honestly came back to painting thanks to Hive, I saw that there were good rewards and a good niche within the art of painting and I began the process of resuming the drawings. But that with time becomes something else and that is that painting connects you with the spirit, with nature and takes away the bad moments, painting is a medicine for the soul and a shelter for the spirit.

Mi alma es creadora - My creative soul

Aunque estudié una carrera muy alejada del arte en la universidad, mi espiritu es un alma creadora de materia. Las almas creadoras logran transformar la materia para lograr espacios armoniosos, para desarrollar alimento para nuestro espíritu humano que necesita admirar y sentirse inspirado, porque necesitamos tener un sentido en la vida y un camino que seguir. Asi, que celebramos no solo el arte en su forma más técnica, sino también la belleza de la creación espontánea, la que nace del alma. Que el espíritu del arte nos acompañe siempre, recordándonos que, mas allá de la habilidad técnica, lo esencial es el amor y la pasión que ponemos en cada trazo y en cada detalle.

Although I studied a career far away from art at the university, my spirit is a soul creator of matter. Creative souls manage to transform matter to achieve harmonious spaces, to develop food for our human spirit that needs to admire and feel inspired, because we need to have a meaning in life and a path to follow. So, we celebrate not only art in its most technical form, but also the beauty of spontaneous creation, that which is born from the soul. May the spirit of art be with us always, reminding us that, beyond technical skill, what is essential is the love and passion we put into every stroke and every detail.
