Hello all! Another week closer to the end of the year and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.
Let’s start with my Hive goals.
Hive & HBD
My goal for 2024 was 35k Hive. I made it! So on to my stretch goal of 40k. Can I make it?
Last week I made 542.45, bringing me to 39,627.300 total Hive Power. That’s 99.1% of my goal!
Math time. 40k - 39,627.300 gives us 372.7. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 10.1 Hive needed per day to reach 40k by that point.
Oh man, we are close! At my current pace, I may even make it this week, before December even starts! On one hand, I am tempted to push and see how far past 40k I can get. But on the other hand, I think I will focus more on the 2nd layer for the month of December.
Speaking of which…
Second Layer Tokens
Token | Last week total | Goal | Needed | Note |
---|---|---|---|---|
— | 2000 | 0 | Goal Met | |
BRO | 0.183 | 1000 | 382.6421 | 61.7% of the way there! |
PIMP | 430.32 | 100k | 5201.41 | 94.8% of the way there! |
CINE | 277.091 | — | — |
Well, even if I focus here, I’m probably not going to make much headway on BRO. They are going for around 8 HIVE each, meaning it would cost me roughly 3k HIVE to make it to 1000 BRO. At .278, that would be around $834. Yicks. A bit outside my price range at present.
Capping off my PIMP might be the easiest thing to do. 100k PIMP was my second goal for this year right after 35k Hive Power. I’m already a little chagrined that @trumpman already beat me to 100k. What a devastating turn of events! I need to catch up!
Silver
The silver chart for last week:
Up a little from the previous week, so that was good. I’d like to see us get back to that near $35 high of a few weeks ago, though.
Hey, guess what? Black Friday is coming! I’m sure most of you are familiar with this now. It’s come to Japan and I’m sure to many other places too. Business just can’t resist a good event to get people shopping. Many of the silver sites I’ve been checking out are offering Black Friday sales. But that’s not what I’m looking at today.
On the APMEX website I came across two DC superhero coins that I just love. First is Superman. I’m a big Superman fan. Tho as a traditionalist I prefer his circus inspired costume with the trunks outside the tights over the more recent costume that just gives him a belt on the tights but no trunks. Even so, this is a nice looking coin.
The other I love is this Batman coin.
Bonus that they use the logo design from the 1989 Michael Keaton film.
Giveaway
That stuff out of the way, let’s do our SBI drawing! If you are new here, I give away 5 shares of SBI every week to commenters on this post. If you also reblog and comment you get a second entry and double the award (if you win).
So how about this week? Let’s see… last post we had comments from @bozz @dewabrata @kerrislravenhill @mypathtofire @oadissin [x2] @silversaver888 @thebighigg [x2] @trumpman.
And the winners are…
