How many comments do you leave.jpg

When I create content on hive, I like to get upvotes but the thing that really makes me going are the comments I get. We probably all like to get comments but do we also give enough of them?

How many comments do you leave on average (per day / per week) on other people's posts?

Please leave your answer as a comment below this post.

No idea, but probably at least ten or more depending on how much time I have... Some days are just too busy! lol

10 per day is quite a lot. Well done!

I’ve never really gotten much better at leaving comments; I always try to leave a lot, but I never seem to manage it.

Some days I’m feeling inspired and leave more than 10, but other days I usually don’t get past 3 or 4. More comments definitely cheer people up, but there are days when I put that aside and barely even read the posts so I can leave a comment.

Well, it's not easy to be consistent and I think it's necessary to find inspiring posts in order to be able to give good comments.

1 or 2 a day? :)

That's a good rate that can be kept on a regular basis I believe.

According to my Peakd Analytics:
Past 7 days: 35
Past 2 weeks: 79

😂

Nice average! Well done!

I'm even embarrassed! I make very few comments per day. There are the Hive Learners contests where users choose posts from participants to read and comment on. Aside from those 2-3 comments, sometimes I read some quality posts that it's a crime not to comment on.

It's difficult to leave comments when posts are not really inspiring to do so...

I don't know exactly, depends on the content or sometimes I dig deeper to debate if I'm interested. But I'm sure more than thirty daily...

That's quite amazing, well done!

It depends fron how many content I consume, also from that how many time I spend on Hive. Some days it can be just 1-2 comments some days it can be up to 5.

That's a nice sustainable average I believe!

I have phases of trying comment on a few posts a day. But it's been so long since, I can't remember how many I managed in a day. Maybe I need to set some daily reminders to complement my weekly Liotes comment reminder!

I like the weekly Liotes comment reminder concept :-)

I make a lot of comments. I went back and counted and it appears I am writing 50-60 comments each day. Many are on Shadow Contest entry posts, quite a few are announcing Ecency curation votes and a bunch are on Waves. I seldom comment or vote or leave tips on posts published outside of Ecency. I should probably find time to diversify a bit occasionally! 😉

50-60 comments

That's pretty amazing! You are probably in the top 1 % of the most comment givers

I don't claim that all are comments showing a lot of effort, but I do stay active!

I do put comments on other's post . May be on average 2/3 per day and 10/15 per week.
But some weeks it goes beyond the average.

If i don't reply back, 80% of the comments, i give a small upvote.

!HBIT

That's a nice average I believe.

Note: this HBIT is a "makeup day" HBIT. There were network issues, so your earlier !HBIT command is being honored now based on its original UTC date/time. The 1-per-day rule still applies by command day, which is why it may look like more than one HBIT arrived on-chain on the same calendar day.

imfarhad, you mined 0.9 🟧 HBIT and the user you replied to (liotes) received 0.1 HBIT on your behalf as a tip. When you mine HBIT, you're also playing the Wusang: Isle of Blaq game. 🏴‍☠️

Sorry, but you didn't find a bonus treasure token today. Try again tomorrow...they're out there! Your random number was 0.6526896965792195, also viewable in the Discord server, #hbit-wusang-log channel. | tools | wallet | discord | community | daily <><

Check for bonus treasure tokens by entering your username at a block explorer A, explorer B, or take a look at your wallet.
There is a treasure chest of bitcoin sats hidden in Wusang: Isle of Blaq. Happy treasure hunting! 😃 Read about Hivebits (HBIT) or read the story of Wusang: Isle of Blaq.

I know that we can always comment more, but I prefer my comments to be of quality over quantity. On the other hand, I don't comment only with my personal account... Depends on the day, but the average may be two or three daily.

I think this is a great amount of comments. If we all give 2 to 3 comments per day, our posts should also get such amounts :-)

Zero to one per day. I like my comments to be meaningful so I don't leave that many.

Giving comments that carry meaning is in my opinion much more powerful than empty comments that are given for the sake of giving comments...

It really depends. I usually comment only on a small pool of authors though. And only when something really strikes me.

It's not always easy to find something to comment on.

1-2 comments. It's hard to comment nowadays because a "NICE POST BRO" is considered a crime lol

because a "NICE POST BRO" is considered a crime

Yes, it might be a bit exagerated to see it like that lol

I think mine is between 5-10 comments per day never got it precisely, not counting possible snaps interactions =p

That's quite impressive! Well done!

I try as much to leave. But sometimes I do not have time and just leave an upvote to appreciate the author

Commenting is quite time intensive I agree...

Lately by far not enough. I am not very active in any way. Too many other things with higher priorities.

Same for me, commenting comes only when everything else is taken care of...

Not many, to be honest, especially when I'm busy offline. I usually interact with a few people, unless I'm doing a prompt in the Ladies of Hive where I get to comment on almost every post in the community.

Well, we have only so many hours to spend online and then we need to set priorities...

That's right :) Thank goodness we have the liberty to do so.

I haven't been making as many comments, but I would say around 8 comments a day right now. It used to be a lot more when I had time throughout the day.

8 a day is still pretty awesome and well above average I believe.

depends on the posts if it's something that trigers me i might leave a comment , i'm not really in to writing .

It's the same for me. It's difficult to leave a comment when the post isn't inspiring it.

According to the @friendlymoose Hive Account Health Dashboard, just over 1 comment per day on average... 9 per week. I should really aim to get into double figures.

Be aware that I excluded all micro blogging platforms from this stat (since snaps and others always are comments under a snaps blogs folder).

That makes sense. I guess we are talking about comments in response to blog posts here; at least, that's what I was thinking about.

I believe that comments are a fundamental part of interaction on Hive, as they enrich posts and strengthen the community. Personally, I try to leave comments whenever something catches my attention or I feel I can contribute something useful. I don't keep an exact count, but I would say that I leave between 10 and 25 comments per week.
