Namaste my Indian United people. I am most delighted to be here again to participate in this week's prompt that says. How Easy or Hard it is to Earn More in Your Country.
Living in my country today is not easy. Earning money has become a real struggle and price of things keeps going up everyday making it almost impossible to keep up with the rising costs of living. I run a small drink business. It is now a battle to keep things going everyday. Prices of goods and supplies keep going up, while profit keep going down.
Last year, something that is sold for ₦ 2800 now is cost over ₦11000 and there is no sign that things will ever come down. It is heartbreaking to see how fast price rise while our earnings stay the same or even reduce. No wonder they say that money is hard to earn but easy to spend.
Training children in school is another huge challenge. School fees, uniform, books, everything has become so expensive. As a parent, you want the best for your children, but sometimes, it feels like you are running in circles. Working so hard, and still barely making it. (Working like an elephant but feeding like an ant) but I keep pushing hoping that one day, things will get better.
The cost of living keeps increasing every day and everyone is complaining. It is easy to spend money because everything you need has become costly, doubled or even tripled in price, but earning that same money takes so much effort time and sacrifices. Hmmmm it will take you only a minute to spend money but years to earn it.
Still I remind myself that the hand that works hard never go hungry. I may struggle today, but I believe that with hard work, patients and faith, better days will come.
In my country today, to make money is very hard but to spend it takes only a minutes. That reminds me of a book I once read during my school days, (Hard to get but easy to spend). The story in the book is just unfolding now.
