Hello music lovers! ๐ถ
The week has come to an end and today's rainy day (at least here) can be brightened up with a selection of new and fresh #newtunes music for you to listen to over the weekend and beyond!
Our selection features both established and up-and-coming artists, as well as some hidden gems who create music for the love of it.
Just by listening, they get our support, so if you have a few minutes to listen, you can do it here. Of course, if there's anything you don't like, feel free to skip ahead.

Boris Blank - Resonance
Does anyone remember the Swiss duo Yello? Great, fun, and crazy electronic music from the 80s. Well, the founder, Boris Blank, released his third solo album, Resonance, last week. And in it, he devoted himself completely to exploring physics, acoustics, and the universe.
The opening song of the same name, very nice electronic music, reminds me of Tangerine Dream and Jean-Michel Jarre, underpinned by superb visuals.
Agabas โ Evneveik
Agabas is a newer Norwegian band, from 2020, which has only just caught the attention of music critics and the public alike. Why? They cite Meshuggah, Gojira, Converge, and John Coltrane, and Ornette Coleman as influences.
They play a crazy mix of extreme metal and jazz, apparently even a new genre called deathjazz, and yes, crazy sounds in a disgusting harmony of adrenaline and aggression. Very unique. I've picked one official video from last September for their second album A Hate Supreme. I'll definitely follow them, you guys do what you want.
Avalanche Kaito - Lago
Avalanche Kaito is a band from Brussels, Belgium, the center of the multicultural mix of the modern world. Burkina Faso-born multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Kaito Winse met the noise post-punk duo and together they set out with great joy to destroy traditional notions of African folk music and the rebellious (like) punk spirit from the urban underground of the megalopolis.
The result is a sonic explosion of classical and electronic sounds like you've never heard before. Mega polyrhythmic futurism.
The song Lago is from their new second album, Talitakum, which will be released in April. And a bonus for music connoisseurs, the song Duaga live, Eurosonic 2023, Groningen, NL.
Folly Group - Pressure Pad
Folly Group is a post-punk band from London, UK, formed in 2020, presenting their third album, Down There, released at the end of January this year. How do you even face making music today, in the underground, in an age of unbearable information and constant confrontation with one's powerlessness? they ask on this album.
In a combination of American post-punk, sweeping bass lines, and the juxtaposition of instrumental abstractions, they give melancholic answers about the good old days, which are covered by the grey banality of an apathetic reality that has completely dispersed the rebelliousness of the underground.
Eye Flys - Tuck & Roll
Eye Flys is an American trio from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, playing since 2019. They define their music as East Coast Noise Rock, yes noise for sure.
A sharp blend of The Melvins, Barkmarket, and Jesus Lizard, it'll thump your ears and prevent you from doing anything other than listening. The only question is whether you will digest it or not.
The nearest to me is coming in April to Salzburg, Austria.
The song Tuck & Roll is from their third album called Eye Flys.
Fever Ray - Shiver
Fever Ray, the extravagant person from Stockholm, Sweden, I've mentioned her/him/them before, I think, it's actually a multitude of persons and everywhere she goes attracts attention.
The song is a new single, the introduction to the album Radical Romantics, on Bandcamp in five versions... timed to the holiday of love and friendship. The best expression would be, as I read somewhere:
The best Valentine for us radical romantics.
Could we add extreme? Maybe not, just a development and summary of everything that has happened and, as a result, a product and mirror of modern times and Western civilisation in it.
Beth Gibbons - Floating On A Moment
After twenty years, the English singer-songwriter, perhaps better known as the vocalist of Portishead, has decided to release a solo album, Lives Outgrown, which will be out in May this year, opening with Floating On A Moment.
Those who know her will certainly give her a listen. Something as classic as Glory Box is one that cannot be forgotten.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Broken Circle (Over and Over)
Finally, the biggest legend for today, Neil Young, back with his old band, who will release the album F###in'Up! in April, I don't know which one exactly, is also preparing for the North American Love Earth 2024 tour.
This song Broken Circle (Over and Over), the trailer for the album and the tour, is a bit longer but that's it.
๐ถThat's all for today, and enjoy your weekend with new songs!
