🌞“When was the last time you watched the world wake up?”
This question popped into my head just this morning. It all started at 3 AM. Yep, you read that right😁. My husband quietly got up while I was still halfway dreaming about coffee☕️. Our teenage daughter had her school acquaintance party, and she had to leave before sunrise. Like the superhero dad he is, he took care of everything.. ironing her outfit, prepping a light meal, even walking her to the bus stop.
When he came back, instead of heading back to bed, he looked at me and said, “I can’t sleep anymore… Wanna walk?”🙃
And so, off we went (Though I'm not really a morning person, so this is something I've never done for a long time)😆
We headed to a nearby promenade.. a quiet walkway lined with solar streetlamps, greenery, and the soft hum of early morning stillness. The path looked like it had just woken up too, with dewdrops clinging to little wildflowers and the light breeze carrying the earthy smell of grass. The skies were wide open, brushed with soft strokes of blue and white, like a painting that hadn't been finished but was already beautiful. 🌥
📸 My husband, ever the photo lover crouched low to the ground, capturing angles of the path, the tiny yellow blossoms tucked in a sea of green and the sun slowly peeking over the trees like a shy guest at a garden party.
I watched him and thought, We could’ve stayed in bed, but this feels way better.😂
The third photo, I took it my self.. It's the bridge and the light.. This is my favorite. It showed him from behind, looking out into the little creatures crawling below the bridge.
And here comes the realization…
We often wait for "big moments" to make us feel good.. vacations, surprises, achievements. But today, all it took was an early walk, a few snaps, and some time with someone I love to remind me that life feels pretty good when you slow down and walk through it,, like literally.
So here’s a gentle nudge to you, dear reader😊
Wake up early once in a while,, not to rush, but to just walk. Watch the world stretch and yawn with you. And if you're lucky, you might even catch a husband who brings his camera instead of his complaints. 😄
