With the onset of winter, I have started organizing my Garden. The winter flowers are being planted, with the dominant one being the marigold flower.
Madhavilata flowers are perennially blossomed in my garden, and the best part is that they require less or no maintenance.
Marigold flowers started blossoming just a few days ago, but this is just the initial phase. After 15-20 days, the entire garden will be covered with marigold flowers, which will entice different bees.
Catharanthus roseus is also looking gorgeous. This is a very simple flower, we call it "baramasi phool" or "sadabahar phool". They are common in almost all households. This pink flower is also considered to bring luck to the home.
I trimmed this croton plant so that it could grow more upward so that it does not expand in a voluminous manner in the horizontal direction. before trimming it I captured a few shots of this Croton plant. The colorful and decorated leaves are the USP of any Croton plant.
Basil(Tulsi) you can see in every household, it has a cultural and religious significance, particularly for the Hindu community. They are revered and a must in some of the rituals, it has so many medicinal benefits as well. We do "Tulsi pujan" including "sandhya arati" every day.
In the rainy season, my garden was fully covered with unwanted weeds, and plants, finally after the rainy season and just before Diwali we started organizing our garden and removed all the unwanted weeds, We have also started painting the stems of major plants with white color. It's looking good. It will take some time to paint all the plants.
Gardening is always the best way for me to engage. I love it. It does fulfill physiological needs, emotional needs as well. It does instill a sense of "feel good".
Thank you.
