My entry to the Phone Photography Contest #69 [En-Es] Beautiful wild and invasive plants

Hello Hive friends, I hope you are all doing well.

Hola amigos de Hive, espero que se encuentren todos muy bien.

I've talked about these plants before. Many of them tend to appear especially during the rainy season and when the grass hasn't been cut for a long time.

Ya había hablado de estas plantas en anteriores oportunidades. Muchas de ellas solían aparecer sobre todo en temporada lluviosa y cuando pasaba mucho tiempo sin cortarse el césped.

After months of not seeing them in the yard, I was happy to find and photograph them again.

Después de meses sin verlas en el patio, me alegré de encontrarlas y fotografiarlas de nuevo.

They grew in a crack in the sidewalk that divides the house from the yard.
I suspect a snail infestation has caused them to almost disappear, along with other potted plants.

Nacieron en una grieta de la acera que divide la casa del patio.
Sospecho que una invasión de caracoles ha hecho que casi desaparezcan, al igual que otras plantas de maceta.

Both are considered weeds, one of them is medicinal.

Las dos son consideradas maleza, una de ellas es medicinal.

One is Tridax procumbens, the other Emilia fosbergii. Both belong to the asteraceae family, or "sunflower family."

Una es Tridax procumbens, la otra Emilia fosbergii. Ambas pertenecen a la familia asteraceae, o "familia de los girasoles".

Their great capacity to reproduce is due to the fact that their fruits, called achenes, produce many pappus, which disperse the seeds with the help of the wind.

La gran capacidad que tienen de reproducirse de debe a que sus frutos, llamados aquenios, producen muchos vilanos, que dispersan las semillas ayudados por el viento.
