DIY: How To Disguise Bleach Stains

in DIYHublast year (edited)

Hello everyone,I’m here today with something different. Most of the time, the only thing we think of when our clothes get stained by bleach is to throw them away.I know how unpleasant bleach stains are and talk of the discoloration, really annoying right? What if I showed you a cool way to disguise those stains? That would mean you wouldn’t have to throw those clothes away.It would help make those stains less noticeable as well as make you look super cool in your fashionable diyed outfit.
I tried being the cool cousin today by disguising the stains in my little cousin’s favorite bell jeans.

The materials I used were:

  • White, Yellow and Green Yarn
  • Needle
  • a pair of scissors
  • pen

Procedure

Step 1
I wanted to make daisies to disguise the bleach stains so I drew the design on the stains with a pen.(It seems I’m becoming a daisy girl looking at how my last diy was also daisy designs)

Step 2
I started tracing the white part of the daisies with the white yarn using the needle.

Step 3
I changed the yarn from white to yellow and now traced the middle part of the daisies.

Step 4
I now switched to the green yarn and traced the stem and branches of the flower.

The result.

As a needleworker and an environmentalist, projects like these make me so happy because they make me get creative and also practice reuse from the three Rs.
Now my cousin doesnt have to discard her jeans anymore. She loves it and is already planning on wearing it out tonight.

I really enjoyed making this and it only took me about 30 minutes to finish.Don’t throw those stained clothes away, you can design the stains and wear them again.
Thank you for your time.

This is a beautiful cover-up that makes the trouser better than the original.

Yes,I agree
Thank you.

My pleasure

What a great idea, I hadn't thought of that, nice way to disguise the stains 👍.

Thank you

This is amazing... I love it. When are we starting our crotchet class?

Very soon dear

I got myself 2 pieces of wool and the pin. Already downloaded videos on youtube and I'll be trying out whatever I can.

Alright,hit me up on discord

It's so thoughtful of you to come up with a way to make this jeans looks cute again, as this it's brand new, the new design not only hide the fading but also beautify it more.

Thank you

Oh this is nice. I recently got my cargo pants stained with bleach and was looking to see how to fix that. But here is the case I don’t know anything about needle work😂

Oh it’s quite simple,
Take it that you’re tracing a drawing from a text book but this time, you’re using thread and needle.

Very good work. Very good idea. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you

Environmentalist of our time.🫡

Instead of throwing my stuff away, I’ll be calling you to do your thing.😂

Please do, I’ll be waiting😂
No charge at all

That’s what you’ll say.😂

Look at me I tried an embroidery of this kind before using thinner threads and it didn’t come out nice, I think I have learnt something here.

Oh that’s fine, you can always try again with the yarn.

Nice. This is a creative idea, and it looks more beautiful.

Thank you

You're welcome

wow this really look creative, putting pattern so it wont be that visible, people will now see the lovely design instead of the bleaches.

Yeah that was the goal, thank you
