My earnings from posts have actually decreased. It will be harder to advance to orca now. The quality of posts needs to improve.
But with beer, everything is easier :)
I've been participating in #beersaturday, which is already 440 in a row, for many years, and there is no sign that I won't continue :) 😂
Today I have two bottles in front of me, one Slovenian and one German, and I'm happy to share the experience with you. As you can see from the opening picture, I also set up a table-top fireplace to keep me warm as I write this.
Bergkonig Red Eye Rabbit Hazy Pale Ale
Brewed by Tektonik Craft Brewery, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Bottle, 0.5 l, alcohol 4.6% ABV, IBU N/A. Hazy/New England Pale Ale.
What do the Master Brewers say?
When we talk about beer at Tektonik Brewery, we get serious. Almost deadly serious...
Every sip that coats your tongue and slides down your throat melts into a pleasure that you wish would last forever. Red Eye Rabbit is very fruity, fresh, and light, with a bitter, hoppy finish. The hops used are Citra and El Dorado, and the malts are Crystal Light and Pils.

The beer is a cloudy yellow color, with little foam that disappears quickly. It smells of tropical fruit. The sip goes smoothly down the throat, a pleasant bitterness of hops develops in the mouth, not excessive, with flavors of tropical fruits, I feel grapefruit and pineapple the most.
In the aftertaste, a slight bitterness and tropical fruit notes linger for a while, but then everything disappears.
Very drinkable and refreshing beer!
It looks pretty fruity and light, more suitable for summer days, but that does not mean it is not for all seasons. I would gladly drink another one now, mainly because of the lightness and fruity flavors that are very elegant, not too much and not too little.
I got it at the Hofer store, it was reasonable, € 1.90, and I will definitely find another one in my fridge.
What else awaits me this year?
I don't think I need to explain too much, I'll be happy to try everything I have available :)
Victor Frankenstein Spezialbier
Brewed by Herrnbräu, Ingolstadt, Bayern, Germany.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 5.4% ABV, IBU. American Amber Lager.
What do the Master Brewers say?
A special brew was created for "Victor Frankenstein" using Vienna malt. This gives the beer its reddish-brown hue, reminiscent of light amber.
It has a full body and a slightly malty character. The use of the fine aroma hop Hallertauer Spalter Select imparts a pleasant bitterness.
Victor Frankenstein is also cold-hopped with the special Hallertauer Blanc hop. This results in a fruity aroma and flavor with notes of citrus and a hint of Muscat grapes. The special brew is cold-fermented and lagered for four weeks at 1°C. Cold filtration gives the special beer a brilliantly clear appearance.
The beer is, of course, inspired by the story of Frankenstein; Ingolstadt is the city in the story, where Victor studied and created the monster :)
The beer is clear, light amber, and the foam is average. It smells slightly of fruit. The sip goes smoothly through the throat, and into the mouth, you first feel a discreet sweetness, which continues into fruit flavors, mainly grapes, I don't feel citrus. In the aftertaste, you can feel the bitterness of hops; everything else quickly disappears.
Drinkable and refreshing beer! The sweetness isn't as pronounced at the beginning, but when combined with the grapefruit flavors, it's OK. In fact, it lacks nothing.
It's not available here, except occasionally, in Kalea Beer Boxes in LIDL or Hofer stores.
