My first collage, a contribution to a happy December. Maybe there will be more.
A time of celebration and a time of change at the same time. Will we be able to make it happen?
In all ancient cultures and traditions, there are stories of a great punishment that destroys a world full of violence, chaos, indifference, and moral decay. This turning point, punishment, or purification, whatever you want to call it, coincides with the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year in many cultures. The return of light after the longest night gives us hope that darkness will not last forever, because light always returns.
The world is once again full of challenges, from climate change to wars and inequality, and we're once again entertaining ourselves and celebrating with lights and gifts, just like in the old stories, unaware that darkness is gathering deep within. But the light always returns, and this festival of light is once again a new beginning and an opportunity for reflection. There is always hope!
Let us light the lights that lead us to a better world, let us not remain indifferent!

The creation process
I wanted to connect two events, namely the legend of Noah's Ark and the annual Christmas celebrations. On the one hand, everything is going dark; on the other, a new beginning with light is necessary. It's like a kind of samsara that happens cyclically. You can judge for yourselves how well I succeeded.
I created the collage using Photoshop.
First, I prepared the background using HDR toning.
Then I added various objects, in layers.
