i have mixed feelings because i love both dogs and cats i have raised both animals and have lived precious moments, so many that i have learned to appreciate their different qualities and not to compare them as some people do.they are very particular tastes.since i was little i have had a deep connection with cats, without looking for them they come to me.i am still trying to figure out what i have that attracts cats so much.because even my neighbors' cats always come to my house, and the truth is that i don't know why i do nothing special, apart from petting them, hugging them and cuddling them.
I remember my brother had a cat that his girlfriend gave him. And he called him Panther because he was black with green eyes. The cat, instead of being more with him, became attached to me wherever I was the cat would go. He would come to my feet so I would put him on my lap and pet him.The weird thing was that he would only let himself be touched and held by my brother and me.if other people tried to pick him up he would go into attack mode and scratch them with his paws. my grandmother would tell me to scold him because sometimes he would scratch the furniture and she would scold him and the cat would ignore her. they are very intelligent, although some people don't believe it and it was obvious that he recognized my brother and me, because wherever we went he would always follow us..
I have had several cats and I have heard many barbarities said by some people evidently fed by movies and series like that the cats are spirits that are witches that are demons that are this that are those people say many stupidities the cats are not to blame that there are so bad people that use it for what it should not The one that has never had a cat speaks from the ignorance will never understand its peace, its respect, its love, its elegance. Its sweetness. Its agility, its sharpness. And its curiosity
The difference is that the cat chooses who it wants, it is independent and free The dog is not. Dogs that are more submissive are so playful and affectionate that they quickly gain the trust of their owners in my experience with cats I get the impression that they do not see me as their owner but as a companion or maybe I'm crazy..
Cats are somewhat misunderstood because being so independent they don't get attached to a person as such, unless they have created a very strong bond. I think dogs are for people who like to be in control and need affection, and cats are for people who already know what real life is like. Dogs teach you what real loyalty is, but cats teach you respect and independence, they teach you to give affection not out of commitment but when they really feel it. Cats indirectly teach us not to have a little self-respect and dignity, because if someone forgets about them and doesn't take care of them, they end up leaving. We should be like cats, be more autonomous and not be so dependent because living without attachments is true freedom.
