During my very young age, I remember that we used to travel to our relative's house and stay there for a few days. This was a very common practice back then. At least 20 years back we used to have this as a practice and it was not a odd thing. Today we think too much about this and I'm able to see how we have become nuclear. People like isolation. Relationship is getting tough and difficult. Life is changing a lot and I'm able to see that transition.
Visiting relatives during festivals
This used to be a practice during every festival. We visit our relatives house and share things with them. During festivals, we go to our relatives house, stay there and celebrate the festival. This has been the practice for a very long time. Today we hesitate to even visit them on the festival days. I notice that technology and the culture has changed people a lot and we are busy for our own reasons and we don't value these socializing traditions anymore. Even if we do it, we don't do it with full heart. There is not enough transparency in what we are doing.

Life was better without technology
I recently noticed something that we are all dependent on technology too much. We cannot be with our mobile phones for even a short span of time. I recently said to myself that I should not use Instagram for 2 weeks. I took it up as a challenge but every time I take my mobile in hand, I notice that my finger goes straight away to Instagram and that's how the dependency it has created.
This is when I think that when we did not have these sophistication or technology, we used to value people a lot and we had so many things to enjoy around us. But today technology is making us lazy and we don't socialize enough. Forget about going out or visiting other family, we don't socialize properly even inside our own family. Many family are structured like they are joint family but inside that they live a nuclear life.
