Huge dependency on AI

in LeoFinance2 days ago

AI is pretty new to the technology world, but I believe that we are slowly starting to create a dependency on AI. There are so many things that have become easier now with the help of AI. Once when the Calculator was born, people found it difficult to adapt to that because all the calculations were made with their minds, and it was easy and convenient for them. But look at the world now. Even for a simple calculation, we are making use of a calculator just to be sure rather than using our minds. This is a very common thing, and we have to embrace this transition.

I think the world is also undergoing a similar transition with the help of AI. Though all industries have a major impact in this change, I think the IT industry is the one that is getting affected the most. This transition is also confusing, and many manual workers have lost their jobs or had to switch to other skill-based roles. This transition is expected, and the world will have to go through this transition.

Now the interesting part is where we get more dependent on the AI. This is likely to happen. Today, people are already dependent so much on Google search. If they want to find some answers, they immediately go to Google Search and get their answers. This was good for getting the knowledge that was not available. But now with the AI, the thinking ability of human beings is going to get affected. For some problems, we might be able to get the answers but thinking or through our thought process. But with AI at its peak, we have already started going to AI to get all our answers. This is going to increase so much in the future, and we might slow down a little bit, and some skills that we possess right now may not be relevant skills in the future at all because we might have AI devices or machines doing that for us.

This dependency that we have created on the AI, or what we are creating on the AI, is going to be dangerous, but it should not be to the extent where we lose our thinking capabilities. Any technology is good, but we have to understand the limitations and to what extent we should embrace the technology. We should not be too dependent on anything so that we find it hard to survive without technology.

The world is growing massively to adopt AI

Just few hours ago, I and Bruno was discussing about AI and it takes. It have a lot of advantages and disadvantages as well. Many persons have lost there Jobs because AI have taken the role and offer that services they do. We should try to use our human intelligence to do some of your real world matters...

This is a thought provoking post, slowly AI has started taking the place of our thinking, which is so sad and I am also guilty of this, there are times when it's after I search for something I then realized that I actually know what I searched for, it only I had given myself a few seconds to just think. We need to find a way to balance this

We need to reduce the impact of AI in our lives. You mentioned Google search. I don't do Google search anymore. I use chat gpt to find out anything. A very nice post. Best wishes.

It would be quite dangerous when more of the basic human thinking is delegated to AI, because it will seem like we've lost the ability to think for ourselves. That said, I think the more information abd available data to process in this modern world, using AI to sift through that data to find relevant data points to make better informed decisions is desirable.

I think this is a very valid point. Just like calculators changed how we do math, AI is changing how we think and work. It’s useful, but if we rely on it too much, we might lose some important skills. Finding a balance is key so we can enjoy the benefits of AI without forgetting how to think for ourselves.

AI is definitely useful, but I think balance is what we all need. We shouldn’t let it replace our ability to think, solve problems or be creative. Tools should support us, not make us dependent

One thing we should all understand is that while AI may make our lives easier, over-reliance can reduce people's own thinking and problem-solving abilities. Everyone should be aware of this right now.

I am really afraid of our future most especially in AI because we are continually depending on artificial intelligence in most of what we are doing

I think we are all guilty of this dependency act on AI . As humans we should be able to create a striking balance. Humans should at all cost not forget to have the mind of their own. AI should only be there to help us narrow down our thoughts and not completely take over our whole mental productivity.
