A family who doesn't care about your mental health shouldn't be considered family.
As we all know that to trust is taboo, it should also be established that one shouldn't force family bonds.
You might be wondering where all these are coming from.
This is as a result of a Nigerian TV series movie I watched titled "Grind."
It has season one with 10 episodes and ongoing season 2 currently at episode 5.
I can't wrap my head around the life most of the lead actress found themselves.
If they were to choose their family, they couldn't have made such choices seriously.
Their family is just like a weapon formed against their lives.
Financial situations and challenges are the main things that constitute a person's life.
It could be fair when someone is only making this fight only for him/herself.
It would be a lesser and bearable battle.
But when it comes to family, it shouldn't be a one person battle.
There should be division of labour, everybody must contribute in any way they can to make it possible to breathe in life.
This movie is all about the struggles of a lady who is the breadwinner of her family.
She fights the financial battle to better her life and her single mother and sister.
Yet, her mother chose to be the weapon formed against her daughter's progress.
She uses her blind Christian race to frustrate her daughter's every move towards financial success.
She fights life, the society, the friend she trusted, and her mother foolish acts.
I love the fact that she is determined and always gets the opportunity to meet good people.
This makes me understand more the saying that nobody can dime your shine in any situation, and what is for you is for you.
If you are a Nigerian or love watching Nigerian movies.
I would recommend you to give this move a try.
Thank you very much for visiting my blog.
