Some time ago, two lawyers traveling together were staying at a hotel. One of them wrote a handwritten letter, but before putting it in the envelope for mailing, he made a photocopy and kept it in a folder he carried in his personal briefcase.
The other lawyer was intrigued and asked:
“A work letter?”
“No, I'm writing to my wife.”
“And you keep a copy? Are you afraid of repeating yourself?”
“No. What I'm afraid of is contradicting myself.”
