"The world is so full of Deceivers and fake people" they will pretend they love you but they will stab you at the back without thinking twice about it. This are the wise words from my Dad,that was the last time I spoke to him about the Issue of hate I faced in my place of work some years ago.
Hate is a powerful and toxic emotion that can consume us. It can consume both the body and soul. It can dive deep into our lives, poisoning our relationships, our minds, and our hearts.
Many a time we feel that hate is when there is no love , or maybe we feel whenever we don't feel loved then we are being hated but here's the shocker: hate is not the opposite of love. It's actually a manifestation of the same energy. When we hate, we're often reacting to a perceived threat or hurt. We're trying to protect ourselves, but in doing so, we end up causing harm to others and ourselves.
The Viscous Circle of Hate.
Some years ago in my place of work, I had a boss that was very toxic, those days I was working in a popular fintech with the Name: Cosmic intelligence lab, also known as KudI as a Brand years back.
Mr Pius is my Regional manager and he is so unprofessional in how he handles staffs, calling us all sorts of names during meetings and States summits.
This man will not care about our feelings or psychological stability, he throws curses at any little thing.
We are sometimes given a target of Onboarding 50 or More Agents in the State per month,we always try our best to meet and surpass the target. Whenever we met our Target or surpass our Target he never praise us. But any slight mistake of not meeting targets, He will flare up, cursing and chastising every one in the team, one day in our meeting, he speaks so badly to my state's team members, I was taking his shits this time around so I pointed it out to him in the zoom meeting that he is so unprofessional for using swear words and hateful words on my team, every one in the meeting was silent awkwardly for almost 3 minutes, even Mr Pius himself was stunned to the bone,
After the Awkward silence, he finally broke the silence by asking who said: without even letting him say another word, I said it is Me sir (Emmanuel.D.) from Benue state, immediately he heard my voice he was furious, said a lot of hateful words and he tried to ridiculed me in the presence of my friends and colleagues but they were super over his constant nagging.
He told me He Hates me and that I won't even smell any promotion or bonus, I told him I'm sorry if my words made him hurt but I was speaking the truth from my mind, I told him I didn't mean to look rude.
To cut the long story short, Mr Pius stopped my monthly bonuses and even went as far as recommending other people to be promoted, when I was actually the next staff to be promoted to the post office the State coordinator.
In response too I hated him, and I started not taking my work seriously again,my performance drastically reduced and it was a very poor performance since I ever joined the firm. The man was later sacked, the company also failed to promote me and my team, they even layed us off after some month under the disguise of changing the structure of the company.
Hate breeds more hate. It's a vicious cycle that can be difficult to break. When we're consumed by hate, we start to see the world in black and white. We lose empathy and compassion. We start to dehumanize others, reducing them to mere objects of our disdain.
In conclusion: No Love Lost, No Love Found
In this life I discovered that Dealing with hate is not about finding more hate or anger. It's about finding love and compassion. It's about recognizing that we're all human beings, deserving of dignity and respect. My hate for one man screwed up my hard work for a lot of years. This days nothing can move me to any hate. I choose Love. My response to #hl-w151e3
