We live in a time of constant and unconscious extreme consumerism in which the line between desire and need is increasingly blurred by directly relating the amount of material possessions with the levels of happiness we have, we believe that having good health There are people who see monetary wealth as their salvation, as if it were a being of light that can fulfill all our desires and bring them supreme happiness, and other people who, at the other extreme, demonize it, believing that money can corrupt us. and make us cold and indifferent people in the face of other people's pain. These people perceive wealthy people as if they were soulless beings, enemies and part of the problem.
Money is neither good nor bad, it is people who can use it to do good things as well as bad things. Attributing moral characteristics to money is stupid. It makes it generate feelings in an unreal quality. Money is a very powerful tool that can be used in many ways. That's why it's best to perceive it as a tool and avoid generating beliefs that limit us and who didn't think that we would live better if we had more money? The reality is that a certain economic level is necessary not to be happy, but to live comfortably and without worries to cover our needs such as having our own home, a vehicle to move around, having good food, a bed, clothes, hygiene, paying for public services that are part of our modern life, but in an environment as stimulating as the current one, we begin to see things that are necessary when they really are not, such as the latest model of car or mobile phones or having a closet full of brand name clothes that they never wear. Many times we compare things on the internet. Just because they are attractive to advertising, they trap us and make us believe that we need it and that with that goal it will make our lives easier, but the reality is that without realizing it we fall into an infinite loop of waste and end up accumulating things in a dark room that we we use once or twice in life
Many times we spend money that we don't have, on things we don't need, to impress people who don't care about us, just to satisfy our ego that makes us believe that the more things we have, the more successful and happy we are when the reality is that the opposite happens
As we possess more things, those things end up possessing our lives.
