Why do we think that we can balance our responsibilities perfectly? Actually, I believe we can't, because we are human beings and perfection is a privilege that everyone does not have. We can try to have a balance but there's no guaranty that it will stay perfectly balanced. Our life may not be perfect but we can try to make it better and it will not be hundred percentage pure. In my 50s crrently and not a youngster anymore. So, I obviously have a career, family which is not easy to balance, but I try my best every day. As I am a business man I remain busy every day except on weekends but I also work on weekends sometimes. Because I want to make my family stay at a place where they won't feel like that they can't buy something and live on a tight budget. I'm trying to give them a life where they can do any purchase without worrying about money. For that reason work keeps me very busy. However, my wife and my two young daughters are too understanding, they never felt disappointed in me even though sometimes I can't give them enough time, however they are the most important people in my life.
But as I feel guilty about it, so I have started to spend some extra time with them whenever I can. A smile from my daughters gives me energy for the whole day. I don't want their smile to ever fade away so I try to make good decisions because my family depends on me. In business there's ups and downs and many challenges, but thinking about my loved ones motivates me to keep going. It doesn't matter how important the work is, if anything ever happens my first priority would be my family. I love to spend time with them and it's not because that is my responsibility, it's because I truly love them from the bottom of my heart. Specially when we eat dinner together, spend time, talk and enjoy simple moments together, these moments are precious to me.
In the end, I will repeat that balance is not about giving equal time to everything. We need to understand the core of it. Balancing my responsibilities means giving the right attention to what matters most. And for me, family and work plays an important role in my happiness and success.
