This picture I share with my mother, is one of the most special for me, because it was the first gift I gave her, not that I didn't give her before, but it was either with the help of my dad or my sister, or they were handmade details, which I don't belittle because they were made with love. However, with this one I gathered from my allowance to be able to give it to her; I don't remember the exact date (forgive my memory), I know that I was in high school and the mother of a friend made these beautiful wooden pictures, and I didn't hesitate to order two, one for my mom and another smaller one for you.

If I am not mistaken, it was a gift precisely for Mother's Day and I value it, not for the cost of it, but for the effort to get it and that my mother was very happy, for a long time she wanted an image of the Divina Pastora in the house and to have it so beautiful, she got a lump in her throat, she did not really expect it. At the moment this picture is still intact, she took good care of it and put it in a place where everyone can see it.

I think that beyond the picture, it was the fact that I was thinking of her and that it was not just giving her a physical gift, but conveying to her that I will always keep her in my thoughts. When I see this picture, I get a lump in my throat, because now with her illness, things have changed, leaving me with the feeling that I should have enjoyed more moments with her and not just focus on giving her material things, but also on conveying how much I love her.

There are many photos that I cherish and miss with my mom and you would like to put them all, but this one I feel reflects my mom's pride, not only because of what I am giving, but because I made an effort to achieve what I proposed and that made her happy from the heart; besides that to take this picture we would say “pose” “pose” and she didn't know what to do, making us laugh a lot, they are really fond memories.
