Bad things will always happen whether you want them to or not. Have you ever had a feeling that something bad is about to happen after experiencing a series of fortunes. In some cases, this premonition becomes a reality and after the events become news from yesterday, we all just conclude it is just the universe striking a balance between the Yin and Yang. One can never be fully prepared for the bad days but how you handle them when they arise matters a lot and hopefully when the time comes there are people around to help when it gets extremely rough.

Last night I got a phone call from my mother with some bad news about a fire incident at home. According to her the whole incident seemed so unreal as it happened way too fast to completely halt any damages. Apparently my elder sister brought her child for a visit yesterday primarily because it has been awhile since she saw them. While she was still at our parents place my elder sister went outside to go get something leaving the baby( who is just two years old by the way) all alone in the living room as my father was asleep in his room and my mother was predisposed. Nobody knows how the baby got her hands on a lighter but when she did, she turned it on and lit the sofa on fire ... My dad who is a deep sleeper did not even notice the funny smell emitting from the living room. The fire continued to spread with the baby crying loudly as that was the only thing she could do at the moment.

My father finally woke up, rushed to see the baby struggling with the environment and took her to safety outside. He beckoned to our neighbors for help and within seconds, there were over 20 faces with buckets of water and detergents ready to put the fire out. To ensure that there are few limitations, a window was removed and the progress of the task skyrocketed exponentially. With the continuous efforts of both neighbors and good Samaritans who did not even know who we were, the flames were extinguished in minutes. The damages from the accident were just the fire, the window and a few minor things in the house. No one was hurt and that was what mattered the most.. I am just happy there was someone at home when this happened else this would have been a completely different story. Nobody planned for something to happen but yet it still did. I know this is not something one hopes for, I am just glad that even as it happened people were able to put it under control with minimal damage.

Thanks guys
