Este domingo 26 de Octubre estuve aprovechando parte de mi día de descanso en el trabajo para dedicárselo nuevamente a los avances de construcción en mi casa. En la publicación anterior en la comunidad les compartí que estaba construyendo un segunda habitación, faltaban en ese entonces algunas paredes, pero ya prácticamente el 80% en cuanto muros se refiere esta terminado. Para este punto que les comparto hoy ya estoy en la parte del amarrado de vigas corona o vigas de amarre.

This Sunday, October 26th, I took advantage of part of my day off from work to once again focus on the construction progress on my house. In my previous post on the community, I shared that I was building a second bedroom. At the time, some walls were still missing, but the walls are practically 80% finished. At this point, I'm already at the point where I'm sharing with you today, tying up the crown beams or tie beams.
Así que la parte de la mañana la estuve aprovechando para finiquitar algunos de talles como cortar cabillas, realizar amarres ,armar tablas para encofrar ya que también realice el proceso de vaciar una de la columnas, luego de eso posiblemente el domingo que viene con el favor de Dios, estaré terminando de marrar las viga corona y vaciando en concreto de la misma.
So I spent the morning finishing up some details like cutting rebar, tying it up, and assembling boards for the formwork, as I also poured one of the columns. After that, possibly next Sunday, God willing, I'll be finishing up the crown beam and pouring part of it into concrete.
Como casi todos los domingo que realizo trabajos en la casa me agarran las horas de la noche, cuando cayo la misma ya tenia encofrada y armada una de las columnas y me dispuse a vaciarla, ahora me toca esperar unos 3 días para retirar las tablas y proceder con otra tarea.
As with most Sundays when I work on the house, I'm caught in the night hours. When the storm came, I had already formed and assembled one of the columns and was ready to pour it. Now I have to wait about 3 days to remove the boards and proceed with another task.
Como les mencione, me falta culminar bien la parte de la viga corona, también quizá entre semana cuando llegue del trabajo voy a estar buscando una tierra para relleno, ya que el nivel del piso de esta habitación esta un poco mas bajo que el nivel del piso del resto de la casa ya que habíamos construido desde ese punto en adelante y por ende no tiene relleno.
Cada vez mas le voy dando forma a mi casa y asi será hasta verla terminada por completo, creo que después de terminar con la habitación voy a proceder a la parte del frente, ya que quiero construir un medio muro y colocar un enrejado para que quede visible a la calle, aunque donde vivo es un callejón cerrado y la verdad no hay mucho que ver pero será un sitio bonito y tranquilo para tomar café y charlar.
As I mentioned, I still need to finish the crown beam part. Also, maybe during the week when I get home from work, I'll be looking for some dirt for backfill, since the floor level of this room is a little lower than the floor level of the rest of the house. We had built from that point forward, and therefore it doesn't have backfill.
I'm gradually giving my house shape, and this will continue until I see it completely finished. I think that after finishing the room, I'll move on to the front, since I want to build a half wall and put up a trellis so it's visible from the street. Although where I live is a closed alley and there really isn't much to see, it will be a nice, quiet place to have coffee and chat.
