Grey-breasted Martin's are fairly common in tropical towns and villages in South and Central America. They prefer open areas with tall trees or other structures that provide nest cavaties.
They resemble the female Purple Martin of North America.
Martins are known for their speed, agility, and their swooping and gliding flight patterns as they hunt for insects. They dive from the sky at great speeds with their wings tucked as they approach their nesting sites.
